Workshop Style
I traveled to Austin for a workshop Sunday through Tuesday this week and with no kids to get ready in the morning I had plenty of time to flat lay my outfits so I can easily share with all of you! We stayed at they Hyatt Regency downtown and I cannot say enough nice things. While some floors were still under renovation, I was given a newly renovated room on the 15th floor with a great view. The hotel was clean, the conference food was so good and the staff was very friendly. This hotel sits on the Colorado river next to the South Congress bridge. If you have ever wanted to visit Austin and see the bats at sunset this is definitely a great hotel to visit and you can check out this guide for other suggestions.
The first day of our conference the dress was business casual. I love this little black dress as it is perfect for packing and does not wrinkle. If you have ever attended a conference or workshop then you know layering is a must as it typically is freezing in the rooms. I decided to wear my military style jacket and add interest to my outfit with these comfortable Halogen flats. I love these shoes ladies! They are so comfortable and I receive multiple compliments every time I wear them.

The workshop was sponsored by a national association focusing on business officers for colleges and universities. Day 2 we were encouraged to dress in our college colors. I used this wine top last week in a {Gameday Style} post with white jeans and tall boots but decided these jeans were more appropriate for this event and it is still quite warm here so booties were a better option.

Since the hubby works in the Austin area we were even able to squeeze in a date night on Monday! I attended a Cabi party recently my friend Katy hosted and purchased this cute flowy tank. We actually walked to dinner at the Ranch 616 which was 1.1 miles from our hotel. Y’all…I walked a total of 2.2 miles in these booties and my feet were fine! I did size up 1/2 size as recommended.

Love those halogen flats!
You always look adorable! I know I say it all the time but you're just the cutest!
I KNEW I had seen that polka dot blouse somewhere! Went to my friend's Cabi party just last week and that's where it was! I totally agree about layering in seminars and conventions! I normally freeze to death! Went to one last week and I swear you could hang meat in that room!
Cute looks! I LOVE those Halogen shoes! I also like that your conference was fairly casual. I listen and learn a lot better when I'm comfortable!

All great looks! I always need to be super comfy and warm for conferences, they always have the rooms too cold for my liking.

Thank you Tif. I love Cabi clothes but not the price tag. Glad I decided to splurge on this one.
Right? I always freeze. I was drinking hot tea the entire day.

These are all such great fall looks! That burgundy top is gorgeous, and I can't decide which shoes I love more. The flats are fun but you can never go wrong with black booties!
That necklace was a serious game changer for me!
I am seriously loving these booties! I had a really hard time deciding which color I wanted but I am thinking the black are going to be a winner.
Every piece is wonderful which make for gorgeous looks. I think #3 is my fave. Thanks for linking up.
Great looks, Shelly! Your flyaway tank is too cute! Love those black booties, too.
