Geometric Top
Pattern mixing has become one of my very favorite things since joining the blog world but sometimes a simple patterned top is enough of a statement all on it’s own.
I purchased this sleeveless Pleione top last year but have only worn it a time or two. While it does have a snap there was still quite a gap in the fit that made me feel self conscious when wearing it. Enter Hollywood Fashon Tape…..this stuff may truly change my life and add lots more value to some of the items in my closet. One little strip and I no longer have to worry about an unintended flash!
Since the mornings are still cool here I paired this top with a neutral blazer from Loft. I’m thinking this white one would be perfect for spring and summer.
I could dress this up a little more with black slacks and heels but I’m loving the Rockstar Super Skinny jeans from Old Navy. The perfect amount of stretch and a waist that comes high enough to fit this mom bod.
I grabbed these lace up wedges from Target a few weeks ago on sale and they are actually really comfortable. If you aren’t into wedges I think this gladiator pair is adorable as well.
I grabbed a pop of color with an old Stella & Dot necklace and earrings I’ve had for ages and I’m kind of digging the orange and green combo. Pleione tops are some of my favorites and they always come in so many fun patterns and styles. My favorite right now I wore a few weeks back here. You can find some similar styles here, here and here or the a similar sleeveless faux wrap here.
Do you have a favorite patterned top? What is your favorite way to wear it?

I'll have to look into that fashion tape! I often have issues with button-ups gaping … it's the problem when you … have a lot going on up top, lol.
I love those wedge shoes with the look! Super cute!

Love this professional look, Shelly! I bought a pair of wedges last summer from Target (before I broke my foot) and wore them for the first time this season yesterday. I love them!
Love this look! Patterned blouses always liven up an outfit. I'm enjoying this last bit of cool weather before the heat arrives. Have a happy hump day!
Great look!!!!!
Jaymie
Me too Tanya! I know full well how warm it is going to be soon enough. Hope you have a super day!
Thanks Laura! I was pleasantly surprised when I put these on how comfortable they are.
Seriously Nina…get the tape! I have several wrap type dresses and tops that I love except for the gapping and it has made all the difference. I even wore one dress to a wedding and danced all night without it coming loose.
Thanks Jaymie! Hope you are having a super week!
As usual, you look great! Another year and still can't do the wedges.
Oh hi hottie!! Look at you, wedge wonderful and that top is adorable!! So thrilled you like having fun with the prompts!! We LOVE having you, you darling lady!!

This looks great on you! Love those wedges, I didn't see those when I went to Target the other day! They are holding out on me! Thanks for linking up with Style Perspectives this week!
You got me with Hollywood Fashion Tape! lol. I will definitely need to look into this! There are so many cute tops that are draped a little too low that I would love to buy but won't because of the flashing possibility. Thanks for sharing about that!!
The whole outfit looks so nicely pulled together. Well done! 🙂
This color is so fantastic on you! Love this look for spring!

I seriously have so many Pleione brand tops. They just wear so well and such fun prints. Target is a hit or miss for me….I finally just decided I have to keep trying lots of things. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for hosting!
Haha…..these are not "original" so I often have issues trying to decide what I can actually wear after years of the opposite. 🙂 Have a super weekend!
Thanks Shauna….I've kind of been no an orange kick lately!
Seriously I have been so shocked at how well it works……highly recommend grabbing some to try. Have a super weekend!
I am pretty sure I skipped right over them in the store myself but took a chance when I ran across them online. Pleasantly surprised!
I have definitely been pleasantly surprised at how much I love them! I actually tried a mint distressed pair that were adorable too.
Thanks Stacey! I wasn't positive about the necklace but decided to take a chance! Have a super weekend.
It has been fun having a "plan" for my Wednesday posts!
Haha, yes I can totally see that. Maybe someday I'll be in that situation myself :).
Me too, Shelly, blogging has taken me from wearing all black all the time to print mixing like a (wannabe) pro 🙂 I adore everything you're wearing but I do have to say my fave bits are your jewellery pieces. What an unexpected touch of green.
Speaking of which, my current Project Sister Act link-up is now live and it'd be lovely to have you so please do come by and link-up if you have a second, Shelly, that top and those wedges need to be shared with the world xoxo
