What’s Up Wednesday – February 2019
What’s up Wednesday! I’m linking up with Shay& Sheaffer and you can find the questions in pink so check it out and join the fun. You can also find me joining Welcome Wednesday and sharing some looks with The Blended Blog. along with all my favorite weekly fashion linkups.
What We’re Eating this Week
Good question! So far this week has been full of leftovers. Keith had a customer give him two large heads of cabbage and we made egg roll in a bowl which we have still been snacking on. I had one fail at making cauliflower soup but hopefully will redeem myself the rest of the week!
Tuesday – Waffles & Bacon!
Wednesday – Corned beef and cabbage…one of the easiest things to make and it’s one of Keith’s favorites!
Thursday – trying this bacon wrapped pork loin with roasted veggies
What I’m Reminiscing About
College baseball. I’m not going to lie, college baseball season holds some of the best memories. Not only did we make lots of trips to see Riley play but we visited some really cool places.
Oh yeah…and we got to see this kid pitch places like Dodger Stadium and twice in Omaha! I kind of miss college baseball this time of year!
What We’ve Been Up To
Two dance competitions down and two more to go before nationals. Love this sassy mess!
Finally made dinner work with these two! We have had the 1st Monday reserved on our calendars every month but February was the first time since August we made it happen!
Said farewell to this kid of mine and sent him and his big league dreams off to Florida for spring training!
Celebrated my friend Cindy’s cancer remission on her 5 year cancer diagnosis anniversary.
Celebrated my day for this girl on her 40 days to 40 journey! The big day is TOMORROW!!
Had a date night with my girl to see Breakfast at Tiffanys in the restored Queen theatre in our downtown area.
Had multiple dates with my newly bearded hubby!
And had a few Sunday meals after church with these two goofs!
It’s been a really, really a great month!
What I’m Dreading
Not a thing!
What I’m Working On
A new linkup! Starting TOMORROW you can link up the last Thursday each month with Throwback Thursday. I hope to create a space for reviving old blog posts and/or providing an easy prompt for a new post throwing things back in time a little or a lot…totally your choice! Given the short notice, tomorrows linkup is all about just linking a post or two you have always loved but don’t feel really received the love it deserved. So hop on over on Thursday and link something inspiring or something crafty or a delicious recipe!
What I’m Excited About
I gave it my best and I just never could quite get this room pulled together the way I dreamed it would look. Last month I hired a couple of girls to help me and they will be installing the new look tomorrow!! The room is going to totally be moved around and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
What I’m Watching/Reading
Yesterday I shared my February book review full of page turners and one sweet read stirring up so many emotions.
I moved right into this book, another kindle unlimited freebie, and so far I cannot quit turning the pages!
We watched Incredibles 2 this past weekend and I’m still trying to make my way through the 2nd season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
What I’m Listening To
I created this love inspired playlist to share with you in February! I’ve been listening to Spotify for quite some time but only recently participated in a trial offer for the paid plan. It’s been fun making playlists! These songs all remind me so much of Keith.
Again this month I’ve found a new book for my list! I listened Monday evening to the interview with Lisa Leonard and promptly added Brave Love to my ever growing list!
What I’m Wearing
February has been pretty dreary with winter one moment and humidity the next. I’ve been surviving with my favorite layers and piece I love.
White denim has really been on repeat for me and I love the camo combo I gave a quick whirl.
What I’m Doing this Weekend
Good question! Is it bad that I just want to hold up at home and read? Dillon is going to be gone from tomorrow after school until Saturday for a baseball tourney in Fort Worth and we just couldn’t get away from work. What initially looked to be a weekend away is now a free weekend!
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
If you have been around here then you already know my bestie and I conned our girls into trading birthday parties for adventures! March is one of my favorite months because I know we will be headed out on a roadtrip for a girls weekend. I can’t wait to share our latest adventure with you but you can see some of our past adventures below!
What Else is New
I seriously love receiving snapchats from my older two and this one from Riley showing off his “new threads” was no exception. Big, big opportunity for this kid.
