What’s Up Wednesday 09.30.20
What’s up Wednesday! Today I’m sharing some looks and co-hosting the Style Six linkup with my sweet blog besties. I’m also linking up with Shay& Sheaffer. You can find the questions in pink so check it out and join the fun. You can also find me joining Welcome Wednesday and sharing some looks with with all my favorite weekly fashion linkups.
Let’s go…..
What We’re Eating
My new favorite thing is stuffed sweet potatoes! I typically eat low carb the first two days of the week so come Wednesday I’m ready to add them back. Last week I stuffed the sweet potatoe with salsa chicken, black beans, cilantro and avocado and it was so amazing! The combinations are endless and bonus, Keith & Carly have been happy to eat a regular potato stuffed the same way. Here are a few fun recipes I’m excited to try,.
What I’m Reminiscing About
What We’ve Been Up To
Watching our sweet Haisley Grace grow! She turned 4 months old in September and continues to steal our hearts. Her little personality is really starting to show and making mom and dad happy by sleeping like a champ.
We celebrated not one but two weddings in one weekend! It was so nice doing something that felt normal.
We celebrated Carly Jo turning 15 and I said “yes” to a little daytrip to celebrate with her friends.
What I’m Working On
Finding a mother of the groom dress for Riley’s wedding! It is less than 75 days away and I have just started looking. I ordered a few to try and was thankful this one did not end up working as it was the most expensive. I do love the style and the color though but it just wasn’t super comfortable.
What I’m Excited About
The Beautycounter holiday edition launches next week and I cannot wait to show it off to you! So many fun gift sets that would make someone on your list so happy! I would love to help you make your wish list or help you earn some free products with a virtual pop up.
What I’m Watching/Reading
Y’all know I’m not a huge TV watcher but every once in awhile I get the urge to binge. I started watching Parks & Rec and it is just what I needed for a laugh and some mindless TV.
I know I have shared this combo multiple times but since I saw the devotional is free right now with Kindle Unlimited I knew it was worth one more plug. I’m really loving the journaling prompts and daily inspiration. I’m more than halfway through 100 Days to Brave and recommend if you are looking for something for yourself or a great gift for others.
Kerry Lonsdale has been a favorite of mine for quite some time and this book did not disappoint. If you love a good love story with a twist, Side Trip is a good read and free on Kindle Unlimited.
What I’m Wearing
I’m really loving the cooler fall temps we have been having in the morning giving me all the reasons to transition to fall with light layers and boots.
Definitely my new favorite sale piece is this sweater blazer! I have worn it twice but have thought of at least 5 other ways to style it. I definitely think this purchase was a steal.
Y’all know this kimono is also getting all the love and I haven’t packed my white denim away just yet.
A fun tank with a pair of dress pants and a lightweight cardigan has been a standard uniform for Texas fall. It might be 50 when I leave for work and 85 on my way home so it works so well.
What I’m Doing this Weekend
This girl is turning 30 on October 6th and this weekend she’s throwing herself a little birthday party! I can’t wait to celebrate with her. It’s been such a joy watching her grow into such a confident, beautiful, fun woman.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
October is a busy month full of birthdays for our family, including mine! What a crazy year it has been but I’m not going to let that stop me from celebrating making it another year!
What I’m Loving
Okay, admitedly water is NOT my favorite, but I recognize I need to drink more. I showed off this Bottled Joy water bottle as one of my August prime finds. The markers for 7AM to 7PM have really helped me stay on track. I initially ordered the gallon size but decided I wanted to leave this at work each day instead, so I drink water during my morning workouts as well but pour from this between 8-5 at work into my 32oz yeti. Adding some fun stickers from Addyson Layne Signs gave me a little more inspiration! This jug is only $5.99 right now on Amazon and y’all…that is such a great deal! If you love a straw instead, this Bottled Joy is just a little more but I may just have to order to have on had for the weekend!
