Let’s go…..

What We’re Eating

Y’all, I have wasted SO MUCH FOOD over the last few weeks. I have not been donig a good job planning meals and was very shocked at the amount of waste in my fridge when I did a quick clean out last night. Time to get back to a little healthier living and meal planning that is intentional!

I did manage to pull together soem amazing salads for my lunches lately using the frozen salmon filets from Sams club. Always make sure to check the package for the ingredients as one thing I’ve learned since moving to a lower sodium lifestyle is many of the frozen meats are filled with a sodium derivitive for preservation. I love that these contain nothing but salmon!

And of course, I’m still obsessed with Tessemaes dressing. It may cost a little more but the whole ingredients and no added sugar is a win for me. Plus a little goes a really long way!

What I’m Reminiscing About

I barely remember a spring in my life that baseball has not been part of the routine. Whether it is from my own childhood filled with burgers and snow cones from the concession stand or the years watching my boys play, spring meant baseball season. We miss it y’all and every single day my feed is full of pictures from the past.

Eight years ago Riley was a senior and his high school team was on their run for for the state playoffs. It was such an incredible season and seeing the pictures brings back sweet memories but also makes my heart ache a little for all that my sweet Dillon lost this year.

Life can be so bittersweet can’t it y’all?

What We’ve Been Up To

Loving on this sweet Haisley Grace as much as her parents will let me! She’s arrived and she is perfect. I can only dream of the adventures I’m going to have with this tiny human one day.

I have spent almost every weekend going to spend a few days checking on my mom. Being alone and stuck at home has been rough and we are just trying to get her through it.

Enjoyed a sweet dinner at home with all my babies for Mother’s day!

Headed to the eye doctor and the orthodontist which had both been rescheduled for Miss Carly. It was a little incovenient to have an eye exam with a mask as the glass kept fogging up!

One of Dillon’s teachers “adopted” him as part of a local “adopt a senior” mission and we are so grateful and excited.

And of course, more snuggling with Haisley Grace. Y’all, I could just stare at her for hours!

What I’m Dreading

Finishing my taxes!! I took advantage of the delayed dates since we always end up having to pay and now I really need to get that done.

What I’m Working On

Getting back to a routine. Heading back to the gym was tough last week and getting back to the office even harder. If I learned anything through the last few months it is that I thrive on routine more than I realized.

What I’m Excited About

TOMORROW I GO TO HAVE MY HAIR DONE!!! I had my hair done on March 7th and am not sure I can remember when it’s been this long. I’m just about out of all the usual tricks so it is time for mama to get her roots done!

What I’m Watching/Reading

April Book Review - Fierce Free and Full of Fire #goodreads #nonfiction

I shared my April Book Review a few weeks back which included the latest release from Jen Hatmaker along with a few other fun reads.

My very latest read, This is Not How it Ends was an easy little love story wtih enough drama to keep me turning the pages. Plus, it is a free Kindle unlimited read!

What I’m Wearing

This tee has really been underutilized in my closet since arriving last spring but I finally pulled it together with white jeans and am kind of crazy over this look!

So apparently many of you had not tried the tee over a maxi before and are loving it! My friend Holly gave me this cute tee and I knew immediately I wanted to pair with this maxi!

I’m living in maxi dresses right now and this latest find is so perfect for the Texas heat. I have only owned for a week but have worn at least 3 times!

What I’m Doing this Weekend

That’s a great question…and we have zero plans. Any suggestions?

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Though not how we envisioned it, this kid is done with senior year! We are still holding out hope for a graduation ceremony at the end of June. We took a little walk down memory lane last week in his cap and gown and I’m just trying to soak up a few more memories before he heads off to college.

What I’m Loving

An all white look is one I often forget about but this inspiration shared by Chez Mirielle last week is one of my favorites. Who will be the favorite next week? Link up your favorite look and come back to see!
