Let’s go…..

What We’re Eating

Dinner Delivered

Is there anything better than a dinner being delivered that you had no idea was coming? My bestie, Holly, delivered this lasagna dinner for our family and it was such a special and needed treat!

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

I’ve already shared this once but this pizza crust has been a go to lunch for me and Carly Jo. So easy and so good!

What I’m Reminiscing About

Memories

These kids are graduating and it really doesn’t seem that long ago since they were graduating from preschool. Such bright little futures!

Senior Memories

And seriously….it goes by in a blink y’all because I remember having this kids senior pictures made like it was yesterday and she’s going to turn 30 this year!!

Senior memories

And these two will become parents this month! Riley and Taylor were high schoool sweathearts and there have been tons of pictures popping up lately from their senior year too. I never dreamed I’d see them reconnect after college but they are just so darn cute together.

What We’ve Been Up To

Family Time - Easter

We had Easter together as a family with church and brunch at home. This was the first time since 2012 that I had them all together for Easter and it made my heart so happy.

Fishing Trip

We broke out of our quarantine and headed to the coast for some social distancing on the water. It’s amazing what a little fresh air and sunshine can do for you!

Fishing Trip

I got 4 different kind of fish and even one keeper! I don’t mind if I can’t keep them all as long as they are biting I’m entertained.

Girls Who Fish

There has also been lots of trips to the country for fishing and Carly even caught enough to provide dinner one night!

Work from home

And most of the days finds me here at my kitchen table trying to grind out some work. I am not going to lie, I dreamed of working from home for a long time and I have definitely found it is not as easy as I thought it would be. We do not have an office and I definitely need a more dedicated work space!!

What I’m Dreading

I really just think the unknown right now is something I’m dreading. While I know in the end God’s got this, it’s just so hard not knowing how things will come back together.

What I’m Working On

Sharing across different formats. Over the last week I pulled together a couple of IGTV videos on Instagram; one on my own with a Stitch Fix Try on and the other a collaboration with some other fun ladies. It’s hard to tell if this is a means others really love or not but it was a fun change!

I’m also on the launch team for a new book that I cannot wait to share with you on May 4th!! It will set you on fire. 🙂

What I’m Excited About

Even though alot has been missed we are still excited about this kid graduating from high school. His senior pictures turned out so good and I will wrap them all up in a full post dedicated to this sweet kid but here is one of my favorites. He’s just so stinkin’ handsome.

What I’m Watching/Reading

Hoping to pull all my April reads together shortly but I finished Little Fires Everywhere and LOVED it so much!! When I saw it was going to be a series I knew I had to read it quickly.

Goodreads

We have been working our way through watching All American on Netflix but I’ve also been trying to catch up on The Marvelous Mrs. Mazel on prime.

What I’m Wearing

My wardrobe has been a lot of office appropriate on the top and working from home on the bottom lately!

Spring Style

I grabbed these pants in early March on one of my last little outings before all of this business of working from home began. They have been so comfortable and I defintiely think I’ll love wearing them to work with a cute jacket. They are comfortable and will dress up but look just as cute with a tee.

Casual Spring Style - comfy pants

Last week I showed off my latest Stitch Fix and these pants were the keepers. I seriously wore them two different days last week because they feel like pajamas!

Olive + Pink Spring Combo
Gingham Top | Jacket | Earrings

I will forever love this combo of hot pink and olive for the spring! One a chilly spring morning it was the perfect outfit for working from home. This jacket is under $50 right now and I have had mine for probably 4 years in 2 different colors. It’s a great lightweight option.

Lightweight Sweaters Spring Fashion

Lots of lightweight cozy sweaters too until I have to step outside! These curvy high waist jeans have definitely been one of my favorite buys over the last 6 months and they are on sale right now. I grabbed in a tall for a full length look but they also come in petite and a crop. Even though they don’t work well for a front tuck on me, I was shocked at how much I loved the high waist fit.

Vacation Ready - High Waisted Suits
Striped Top | High Waist Bottoms | Coverup | Hat

And sometimes I may multitask by working from home in the backyard and working on my tan at the same time!! I decided to order a few swimsuits to try and this is the first high waist two piece I’ve actually felt fairly comfortable in. I’ve tried on several other one piece suits as well and may get brave enough to share a try on soon! Ha! The cover up is so darling and will work well with cut offs coming off the beach or from the pool.

What I’m Doing this Weekend

Heading to my moms for the weekend. The isolation just wasn’t good for her and at some point I had to make the call on whether mental healt was more important than physical health. We have been working on organizing and cleaning out a few things the last couple of weekends and just spending some extra time with her.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

May is the month I become a grandma!! I have really, really tried not to get overly excited too soon but I’m just so giddy every time I think about meeting this little nugget for the first time. Knowing we will not be able to be at the hospital of course makes it a little sad but as long as she arrives safe is all that really matters. These two are just so precious and I cannot wait to see them become parents. Y’all get ready….it’s almost Honey time!
