What’s Up Wednesday – 03.30.22

What’s up Wednesday! Today I’m linking up with ShaySheaffer.  You can find the questions in pink so check it out and join the fun.  I’m also linking up with Amy for Style on the Go!

Let’s go…..

What We’re Eating

Last month I mentioned I’ve been counting macros so I was so excited when Eat to Evolve asked me to collaborate and try their meals. They arrived yesterday and I have breakfast and lunch packed and loaded into My Fitness Pal which makes for really simple meal planning. I can’t wait to try them over the next week and report back!

This week we kept it simple with burgers, corned beef and tacos!

What I’m Reminiscing About

This time of year my timehop is always filled with pictures from either spring break or Easter and that means it almost always includes pictures of people I miss. This pic of me and my Mamaw made me smile today! Miss her sassy self so much.

And of course in Texas it’s time for bluebonnets! The rain the last week really helped them out and they are beautiful. I’ll never get tired of seeing them or seeing the pics pop up in timehop!

What We’ve Been Up To

Auburn University

Carly and I used spring break as a chance to go visit a few colleges and you can see more in the spring break Queen’s chronicles. There was a clear favorite!

We also had so much fun heading to a sweet wedding and getting to hang out with our besties!

And of course there were a few playdates with our Haisley girl but not as many as I would like. Honey has been busy at work and outside of work and need some time with her pronto. She is growing up so fast and is so dang smart!

What I’m Working On

Y’all, if I ever get my guest bedroom finished it will be a miracle. The murphy bed is 3/4 of the way installed and ready and I’ve just got some design decisions to make about the rest of the room.

What I’m Watching/Reading

March Book Review

Yesterday I dropped my March book review and it’s full of some great reads from February and March!

Undistracted #goodread

I also just finished up Bob Goff’s new book, Undistracted. He has such a gift for weaving his stories into life lessons and this book was no exception. Lots of little nuggets to help me continue to grow in 2022.

What I’m Listening To

The Going Scared Podcast

I jump around alot where podcasts are concerned and it had been awhile since I listened to the Going Scared podcast with Jes Honegger. She has hosted 2 series over the last year, the Know Thyself series and the latest on habits. The episodes are only 30 minutes which make them easy to listen to AND I love that she shares the transcripts so I know I can focus on listening but still have a resource if I want to remember some of the tidbits.

Emily Ley Simplified Podcast

I’ve also found several episodes recently of the Simplified podcast by Emily Ley pulling me in. The latest on boundaries was so good and of course I can never resist and Enneagram discussion.

What I’m Wearing

Simple looks using my closet has continued in March. The only thing I’ve been buying is spring shoes!

Apparently I need to wear this combo more because it sure did get a ton of love on Instagram! I love this black blazer and paring it with a simple white button down worked. Of course I think the headband was the real difference maker for this look.

These boots have seriously been one of my fave purchases and I’m sad it’s almost time to pack them away. They were definitely a splurge but think they will be around awhile. If you love a gingham shirt, this one comes in several colors and is used alot in my closet. I wear it under sweaters and sweatshirts, alone or over a white tee with shorts.

What I'm wearing #springfashion

And seriously so glad I bought this kimono last summer from Altar’d State. I’m especially loving how it pops against the white jeans.

What I’m Doing this Weekend

I am actually going to spend the weekend with my mom! Same story different month.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Easter and all the emotions and beauty it brings!

That’s alot of what I’m up to….what’s up with you?
