WIWW – Office Style

Dressing for the office in Texas can be a little tricky some days.  While it is hot and humid outside most days, it can be quite chilly in my office.  I like to pair a skirt with a lightweight top and jacket.  When all else fails I actually do have an electric blanket at work!

 I have always had a hard time with skirts fitting me properly.  Typically they are too big in the waist in order to fit my hips and that often leads to the skirt twisting around all day.  This J. Crew Factory skirt has fit perfectly.  It has a slight stretch and comes in several colors.  I thought the aqua was a perfect addition for spring and summer.

 I also absolutely love that it has pockets!

I finally decided to pair this skirt with an animal print I have had in my closet for several years and I love the way it turned out.  This top has been one of my favorites but I always seem to pair it with jeans or black bottoms and I love how this combo gave it new life.

Kendra Scott Alexander earrings are a larger size so they were perfect with this outfit as I didn’t want to wear to much of a statement necklace with the animal print.

And these shoes y’all……what can I say…I am in shoe heaven with these shoes!  I purchased early in the fall when they were on sale for some ridiculous amount and I love them!  Don’t look too close as one of them has some puppy teeth marks on the heel…eek.  I have never worn Louise et Cie brand shoes previously but took a chance on these based on the reviews and the sale price.  You can find similar styles of this brand here and here.  I’m actually really digging these flats too!

Here is my top and heels dressed down a little for a girls night out.  I love the feminine touch of this top with my boyfriend jeans and these great shoes.

  1. Love this! Sometimes I wish I were back working in an office so I could dress like this….then I realize how miserable I was and I'm okay with dressing in t-shirts everyday 🙂 You look great!

  2. Love, love, LOVE this combo! I would actually wear this into the office! I don't know about an electric blanket, though, but I do have a heater that runs 8/5 in my office!

  12. The color of that skirt is so perfect for the spring- J. Crew is awesome! The blouse is really pretty with it, too. You sound like me, when I worked in an office I was ALWAYS cold!!

  19. That aqua skirt and those cage black peep-toe pumps were great additions for your closet in 2015. That first outfit is so elegant – I bet the best dressed at work that day. Love the snow-leopard tee too and is that dainty necklace a bone necklace (2nd outfit)? I love it.
