Random Fall Mix

November has finally cooled off enough that boots can be worn just about any day and this past week we were lucky enough to have some rain.  Rain means I am able to wear my much loved Hunter wellies so I’m not complaining!

The rain brought cooler weather and I was excited to finally have a chance to wear my Zara blanket scarf.  I actually purchased mine through Amazon and had no trouble receiving.  This has to be one of my very favorite outfits.  The colors scream fall and it was just so cozy and fun.  If you have a blanket scarf and are struggling with how to wear it, I found this quick video tutorial that was helpful here.

And if you have never heard of Farmgirl Paints I ordered my first custom cuff when her shop was opened in September.  I wasn’t sure if I would wear it as much but it is so fun and I have caught myself planning outfis around wearing the cuff.  You pick your own quote and I chose “Happy girls are the prettiest”.  Happy with my choice! Here is her Etsy shop link if you are interested as she only opens a few times of year and actually closes this Friday.   Farmgirl Paints Etsy Shop

I was off to watch some 13U baseball on Saturday afternoon.  Last fall I purchased this cute sweater but I just never fell in love with it and didn’t actually end up wearing it much.  My Gap shirt came to the rescue!  I will be honest I wasn’t sure I would wear Converse shoes much but I have found more and more ways to wear them to make an outfit a little more fun.

If I could get away with it I might just wear leggings, boots, tunic and scarf 7 days a week from November to April!  I love this look.  I feel pulled together but also so comfortable.  My tunic is from a local boutique and is Escapada.  I have several pieces from this designer and they hold up well, come in fun patterns and are reasonably priced.  Tres Chic Boutique and Witts End Boutique are two local boutiques that carry this line.  I also know so many people love Hue leggings and I will echo they are super.  Sometimes I just need a little extra support for the muffin top and smoothing especially if I’m wearing a more fitted tunic.  I found Lysse leggings last year and I love them!

Here in Texas we received our first really cold blast and the temp dipped down into the 30’s which means it was time to pull out my cozy jammies.  I love cozy PJ’s but have a hard time finding pants that are long enough for me.  Victorias Secret actually has several styles that come in short, regular and long length and they are perfect for me.  I always try to pick up a pair each year during the Christmas or after Christmas sales.  Shay at Mix and Match Family highlighted some PJ’s on her blog yesterday that I might have to check out.  With Nordstroms free shipping and return policy it’s worth a shot.  Lots of cute patterns at both VS and Nordstroms.

  1. What?! VS has pj's with length choices?! How did I not know this? I'm always wearing pj's that are too short and my ankles get cold! 🙂 Definitely need to check that out! Love your Zara scarf and love, love, love Farm Girl Paints! Looking good, mama!
