WIWW – Maxi Skirt
The weather has warmed up in Texas and maxi skirts and dresses have been a favorite for a more casual day at the office. I love this maxi I purchased several years back as it is lined to the knee but sadly for you it is no longer available.
My office can be on the cool side so I normally pair a blue jean jacket or a cardigan but I pulled this denim shirt from the hanger and decided it was going to make a statement with this outfit today.
I’m also loving this Halogen relaxed club knit tee It isn’t so big that it has no shape but it is big enough it does not cling to those places I do not want it to cling {hello love handles}. It comes it quite a few colors that are fun for spring as well as some striped options.
I added the Sanibel Pendant along with the Serenity Stone Drop Earrings in aqua even though these two don’t technically match they definitely work together. If you missed my Favorite Things – Accessories post from earlier this week you can find it here.
Maxi’s are comfortable to me and I can still do many of the busy things I need to do at home while still looking pulled together for the office.
Some fun on my lunch hour blowing bubbles for Dutch! This is one of his very favorite things to do and he could go for an hour.
I am 5’7″ but even with maxi’s I often have to wear a heel to keep it from dragging the ground. I’m really thinking these Toms wedges would be perfect. I have several other maxi skirts that have a waistband which can fold over to take away a little length for wearing with flats.
What is your go to casual workday outfit? Are maxi skirts in your closet?

Let's talk about your hair – A-MAY-ZING!!! And, little Dutch – such a show stealer! You know I love maxis – question for you – how do you wear the foldovers without it making you look hippy? They always tend to bunch up on me if I fold them over.
You always look so cute !
love a good striped maxi!

Until this morning, I only had one maxi skirt that was taupe and black chevron. I mostly wear it in the fall and winter. But this morning, I had to pick up a few things at Walmart before work and noticed quite the selection of colors and styles for the maxi skirt, so I bought another. I have the same problem with the length, but I think this one will work great for length. It was only $12! BAM!
I have a similar maxi that I adore too. I love how you knotted your shirt!
