Two Piece Linen Set

Can a 50+ gal really rock a two piece set and get away with showing a little skin? Well, I’ll admit, I questioned this but decided to order this one and give it a try. I ordered this two piece linen set in two sizes, medium and large, and then they sat in the bag on the bench in my bedroom for two months before I finally was brave enough to try it on! Since I was past the return window and now the proud owner of both, I decided to dig into my confidence bucket and take this look for a spin!

Y’all, I felt so good in this outfit! I am very short waisted with long legs so while the top does allow for a peep of skin, it was just enough to add some fun without making me feel uncomfortable. The deep V gives it a little sexiness but I didn’t feel like it was over the top. The pants also have a high slit on the sides but I felt like the flowiness balances it out.

I wasn’t sure what shoes to pair with it at first, but I think my studded sandals were perfect as the ankle straps were shown off a little as I walked. A fun clutch adds just the right touch of color and this old piece from Stellla & Dot was perfect. I added some gold jewlery including my favorite new butterfly earrings and love how the look turned out.

This outfit was perfect for an influencer event I headed to last night at a local hotel. It is comfortable and cool and made me feel a little trendy but still myself. So I’m going to go with YES….a 50+ gal really can rock a two piece linen set and show a little skin! This set earned a spot in the Queen’s Closet!
