The Queen’s Chronicles

·
It was a rough week…spring break hangover was in full force!
Carly Jo and Holden took dance pictures on Monday.  Love their ballet costumes.
It was breakfast for dinner and Dutch was not complaining when I overfilled the waffle maker!
Teenagers are best for teaching you how to use technical stuff like a blue tooth enabled selfie stick!   Can you tell I was being a great student?
Oh Dutchy…he has my heart and I had to tease him with a treat to take this picture for national pup day.
Squeezed into the same side of a booth and had a date night with this guy unexpectedly in the middle of the week.
Loved this picture my sister in law posted of my baby brother and newphew Myles.  I just can’t tell you how much I love my brother….he’s such a good guy and a great dad.
I really should not take peanut butter to work!  When I get a little stressed it’s the first thing I grab for.
The office closed at noon on Friday and I took advantage of the free time and beautiful weather by finishing a book and catching a cat nap on my back porch.
Saturday we spent a big portion of the day watching Dillon play 7 on 7 football before heading to grab groceries for a fish fry.  We couldn’t resist buying some flowers……any bets on how long they will stay alive?

These boys played so hard!

Two of my rocks joined us with their hubbies for dinner and we really had a great time along with my in-laws enjoying some fried fish and fellowship.
The Easter bunny seems to become lazier and lazier every single year but he did show up!
Everyone was up early and we actually made it to church at 8:30.  I had to laugh because this was the best picture of all of us and then I noticed Dutch is licking Carly’s leg.
Nothing like a competitive game of tic-tac-toe while waiting on our brunch.  Carly might be a tad bit of a cheater and always finds a way to end it all when she’s ahead.
I’ve been dying to hit up this little patch of bluebonnets on campus and the kids actually were so sweet to cooperated.  Too bad it was so windy and a little chilly.  Love their sweet smiles!

Just a blink y’all and this one is going to be heading off to college.  He has just changed so much in a years time it’s hard to believe.

Then they got really silly.

 And we had some laughs……
….but not as many as I had when I got back to the car and saw this one!  #bunnyearsfail
He kills me with that sweet smile y’all….looks so much like his daddy.
We ended the day inviting the neighbor girls over to dye eggs.  Y’all….these girls were eating the eggs as fast as they were dying them and I said “y’all are some egg eating fools”.  One of the girls was obviously appalled by me calling them fools and I heard Carly say “oh don’t worry it’s not a bad thing”.   I’m surprised any of my kids were able to make friends with the high dose of sarcasm they have been raised with.
I have not been to one workout at the gym in two full weeks…..back to the grind tomorrow.  Time to get back on a schedule!  Hope you all have a super week!
Check out where I’m linking up here.

  1. I had to giggle when I saw that we started our post the same way! And…I now have one extra hanger in my closet! As soon as I saw the pic of us – I grabbed that black and red check shirt and chunked it!!! 🙂

  2. Seriously I feel the same way…we use a lot of sarcasm over here! We are back to the grind today after two weeks of spring break for Olivia. It's been a tough morning and it's not even 8 yet. Enjoy your week !
