The Queen’s Chronicles
Snap chat….y’all…I had no idea this was what I needed to do to reconnect with my twenty something kids. Finally I’m snapping and y’all….they aren’t so impressed with me screenshoting them but hey…I’ve got to do it to remind them it’s always a possibility right?
Saturday we spent a large part of the morning watching Dillon play baseball and decided that deserved a run through Bahama Bucks for our first snow cone of the season. Even Dutch got in on the action. Carly had the Cherry Colada and I think that will be my pick next time. I tried the blue coconut thin ice and let’s just say…I’m pretty sure a snow cone is not meant to be sugar free.
Probably one of my favorite text this week came from my friend Holly when she shared sweet Hopey’s spin on my white on white + denim combo. Isn’t she just the cutest?
Saturday was just gorgeous and as much as I really needed to clean it was just too pretty to stay inside. Carly was really wanting to plant something so we grabbed some herbs and some cow manure and headed to the house.
I love that she still wants to do little things like this with me!
I was even lucky enough to have Keith grabbed the camera and take a few pictures as we worked.
Of course mostly he just wanted to tell me what I was doing wrong!
There is just something so fun about getting your hands dirty in the spring time! Dillon found us some earthworms too while he was busy weeding and putting out new mulch around our trees.
I’ve had several of these for four weeks (count them because it might be a record) and we finally repotted to give them a little room to grow.
Keith ran to the store and grabbed steaks and potatoes for the grill and I settled in for some wine and the Skinny Suppers book.
Saturday we headed over to a gender reveal party in Willis for some sweet cousins. I was totally on team BOY!
When we got back to town my sis-in-law took Carly to see The Jungle Book so it was time to get serious about getting my house back in order so I started cleaning. Seriously y’all…this is how many socks I found under the couches in my living room!!
But yea! My room is all put back together with no more dust!
AND….I can see my closet floor again so bring it on Monday!!!
Hope you all had a super weekend! Looking forward to a busy but blessed week.

Your room looks a-MAY-zing!!! And, can we talk about that GORGEOUS picture of Jordan?! Wowzers! Looking forward to a fun week where I get to see you more than normal!!! Happy Monday!
Yay for the bathrooms being done. Have a great week
Very nice. I will be following your son in the Cal League. Hopefully I will be able to go to a Lancanster game when they play San Jose.
Everytime you say your son plays I just think that is SO awesome! We don't have cable so we pretty much listen to the radio for every game haha and it is defintiely not easy to not be able to see it,I can't even imagine if I knew someone playing!

Yay for big boxes! I loved it when my kids made forts out of them! I added you on snapchat! 🙂 And I know exactly what you mean by digging in the dirt and dinners outside. I love this time of year!

Making the Most of Every Day
Yay for both showers being finished and your room and closet back in order! We had our first snow cones of the season also this weekend – unfortunately, not Bahama Bucks, but still delish! Carly Jo and her box make me laugh! Have a great week! xx – Leah!
It's so killing me to be so far away! Listening on the computer is just not quite the same. I really didn't think I was going to try and fly out but I've already started looking at what would be the best time to come. 🙂 Have a great day!
