The Queen’s Chronicles
Starting the week with a school holiday is always the best! I had to work half the day but then it was time for some fun.
Bowling with the McBertys! These kids have been friends since birth and are really more like close cousins but they all go to different schools so time together is limited. Spending the afternoon together was a bonus.
Friends who dress alike….well…we didn’t plan this but I’ll be her twinky any day!
The girls then had more time together at ballet.
And I headed to meet this girl for a workout after taking last week off unintentionally. Holy moly…only 2 items on the board but it was tough. 5-5-3-3-1 Back Squats and 150….yes 1-5-0 wall balls. I was wiped.
But I showed up Tuesday morning anyway and this was waiting for me!
Kind of fun seeing the heart rate on my fitbit and loving the hour and 40 min fat burn this workout produced. Thank goodness too since I didn’t work out anymore the rest of the week! The struggle has been real to get on a schedule lately.
The struggle has also been real to go to the grocery store and actually plan some dinners! I at least tried to make this fancy by displaying all the fun add ons for our omelet in a pretty way.
This doesn’t look so great but let met ell you it was so yummy. I found Jenni-O breakfast sausage recently and I swear the only difference is it is not so greasy as regular pork sausage. I love the flavor. I also made a bag of pre-cut butternut squash from HEB and mixed it in and it was so yum! I really could eat breakfast for dinner most days.
We had to make a little vehicle swap with Riley in Waco on Wednesday night and let’s just say it had been a long day!! We did enjoy dinner at Heitmillers in Waco which is always worth the trip.
Fun night celebrating the coming Brazos Valley Fashion Week with the ladies from Tres Chic Boutique.
And then the bestie and I headed for a pizza and some wine at our favorite little joint.
Friday night we had dinner with Riley for his last night in town. His dads family also joined us so he had all his siblings showing him some love. He has safely made it to Kissimmee and settled in so thanks to all of you who said a quick prayer for safe travels! He starts spring training tomorrow and we are excited to see where the year will take him.
We signed up for another 5k this weekend to support Camp Kessem. Carly was all hyped up after last weekend. She loves Ms. Kelli so we were all happy to hang together.
She quickly learned that not all races are the same. It was windy, humid and hilly and oh my goodness the struggle was real. Smaller races just aren’t quite the same as the excitement level doesn’t really get the adrenaline pumping either. She didn’t quit though and we walked a lot more than we planned but we still enjoyed our time together.
I’m not sure what’s been up with me this week but my stomach just has not been right. All I can chalk it up to is that it is possibly anxiety but I truly just don’t know what I might be worked up over. Who knows….but Chick-Fil-A soup was a winner after I slept pretty much all Saturday afternoon.
Is it possible my anxiety is induced by things like this? Maybe….I really do try to just worry about myself and let all my peeps handle their personal space as they wish but there comes a point I just can’t let it go.
So this happened on Sunday afternoon and it made me so happy! Keith actually seemed thrilled with the improvement too.
And then all food rules went out the window when he decided to cook deer steak for dinner. After 2 days of not eating much I was not passing this up. So yummy!
Hmm…this week….I am almost scared to look at my calendar. Rain is in the forecast the first part of the week and then we have some logistics to tend to with the kidos before we head to Wharton for a wedding on Saturday afternoon.
Hope you all have a productive week ahead!
Oh hope that your stomach issues resolve! Soup is always a good choice when you'e not feeling well!
Sounds like you had a busy but fun-filled week 🙂
Away From The Blue Blog
Sorry to hear you had stomach problems and hope you feel better this week. I got a laugh out of seeing Keith's area. I just try not to look at the top of Michael's nightstand! Have a good Monday.
Shelly – I have been having the hardest time getting back on track with my schedule too! Not working out, not eating well and just feeling blah overall – including the "yucky" stomach. Trying to start this Monday with a new attitude – spring is just around the corner and I want to look and FEEL better!!!! Have a happy Monday! Hope you are feeling better and have a fabulous week.

I loved all the pictures you shared. What a busy weekend! YIKES. Hoping you feel much better this week. I so hear you about falling into a funk when the regular schedule is messed with. It seems to just throw everything off balance. Have a wonderful week!
Funks stink….especially when you can't really figure out the underlying reason you are feeling funky! But yea…are you having a blast watching baseball?? Maybe that's why I'm in a funk..ha.
Me too Helene….love chicken noodle soup. Hope you are having a great week.
I seriously try so hard to just ignore it Tanya….I really do think it starts to bother him at some point too and he just has no clue what to do with it. Hope you are having a great week!
Hope your week is going well Kristin! It's so hard to get back on track but Monday is always the best time to start for me.
Blah…nothing irritates me more than feeling icky and not having a solution. Hope you are having a super week!
