The Queen’s Chronicles

Week two of summer is officially checked off!  It’s been nice having my boy home for a few days and I’m excited to have my baby girl back home.
Carly Jo spent the week with her Nana which meant lots of time with her cousin Morgan!  I think it’s safe to say they had such a great time.   Swimming and sleepovers and dragging Nana around shopping for Dutch’s birthday present.
I made Crockpot Chicken Fajitas on Monday and they were delicious!
Tuesday I met up with this friend and found out she is going to be a a twin grandma!!  How exciting is that?!!
Wednesday I joined my boss for pilates over our lunch hour.  Texas A&M has made wellness a priority by offering free fitness classes during the week and offering 30 minutes three times a week towards fitness activities.
I do feel really blessed to see these numbers.  I was super excited to have an appointment and move forward with having a steroid shot for some bursitis in my hip.
Dillon played some 7 on 7 on Thursday evening.  I think I love it because it is really fast paced and I feel like I can see what is going on better than regular football.  Love to see this boy enjoying his time on the field!
Friday morning I logged my 5th workout of the week and also managed to take Dutch for a quick walk before work.   Wearing my Fitbit definitely makes a difference in making me get moving.
The boys called me Friday afternoon because they happened to pick up this sweet girl wandering around.  I really am glad they found her owners and I was super proud of them for being caring enough to take her to the vet and have her chip scanned.
Last day in Wharton and Carly spent the day hanging with aunt Jonica at the pool!
Bright and early Saturday morning Dillon and I headed to Plano for his 7 on 7 tourney.  Two games in and a huge storm came rolling in and the tourney was cancelled so it was back to College Station earlier than expected.  Long day!
Dillon was excited to be back early enough to head to the game with his big brother!  I was super excited to receive this picture from a friend since they have been totally opposed to letting me take their picture lately.
Keith and Dillon headed to meet up with one of Keith’s best friends and his son for some fishing at the coast on Sunday.  Dillon is the king of falling asleep on the boat and it looks like he’s teaching Luke the tricks of the trade!
Looks like another great day of fishing!
A little pre-game brew at Blackwater Draw with my brother and Riley Sunday afternoon.
These boys were then ready for the big deciding game!  My little brother is seriously one of my favorite people.  He loves my kids so much and my nephew, Myles, is crazy about sports and thinks Riley is the bomb diggity.  I’m sure they are having a blast!
I was so lazy on Sunday and spent a large portion of the day vegging on Gilmore Girls.   Not anywhere close to being ready for work tomorrow!!  Hope you all have a super week!

  1. I can't believe I only saw you for about 30 seconds this week. 🙁 We've got to do better this week!!

  2. Looks like another great week for you. Five workouts in a week is great too. I've been trying to do that for a couple of weeks now and I keep calling it good at 4. Maybe this week!

  3. what a great week. I have to say I'm jealous of all the pool time, it hasn't been quite warm enough for swimming here lately 🙁 hoping it heats up this weekend!
