The Queen’s Chronicles – Weekending
Good morning and happy Monday! Welcome to The Queen’s Chronicles where I recap the ordinary and extraordinary happinings in our every day life!
I could barely sleep last night in anticipation of our first cool front. Well, truthfully I’m confident it’s the midlife hormones keeping me from sleeping but I am super excited for some sightly cooler temps.
We had a farily low key weekend spent at home but full of all my favorite things; food and family!
Friday night ALL my kids were at my house before I even made it home from work! I know it seems like no big deal but having them all under one roof for a few hours just makes mne so incredibly happy.
Of course I’m totally biased but I think they are pretty stinkin’ adorable!
Dillon headed to the football game to work the concession stand for baseball and support his friends on the football team. He has been all over the them nights this year and I’m grateful for sweet moms who send me pictures!
Saturday morning Carly Jo made cinammon rolls for the boys. I’m sure homemade rolls are amazing but the pillsbury can seems to always do the trick and there was no roll left uneaten with this crew.
This girl turned 29 on Sunday! With a blended family you can either see things as complicated or you can be super excited everyone is fighting for time with you. I secured my one on one time on Saturday and we headed for facials which was so good.
And of course we don’t celebrate anything without food! We headed to one of our fave brunch spots and I splurged on eggs benedict instead of my usual omelet. So good!
Lastly, the new holiday line has arrived at Beauty Counter and tonight there is a little Facebook event showcasing the beautiful products. There will be 10 $100 Beauty Counter Shopping sprees up for grabs but the only way you can win is to be added to the group and watch the unveiling! Send me a message to let me know if you would like to be added to the group either at shellyjanac@gmail.com or message me on Facebook.
Wishing you all a week full of fall fun….or at least some fall temps! I think I might even have to make chilli to celebrate!
