The Queen’s Chronicles Week 7

I never know whether to end the week on Saturday or Sunday.  While Sunday should be the start of the week with our crazy weekend schedules it rarely feels like the beginning but rather the end of our week so I think this week I’m going to switch things up!
Here is a quick look at our week!

Day #40
Our weekly lunch after church with our dear friends at Chuys.  We swapped our adorable kids for an adult picture this week.
We then took advantage of the beautiful weather and one of our last free Sundays to bag leaves and trim a few trees.  I love seeing the yard after we have done a big clean up like this.
Our reward was grilled filets, roasted broccoli and this yummy salad!
Day #41
I love making some sweet Valentine treats for the kids and Keith on the week leading up to Valentines day and I love how much they all love to see what I copy from Pinterest come up with.
Day #42
Drinks after work with these two peeps.  We have worked together off and on for the past 20 years.  When you spend that much time together you begin to feel like family for sure.
Day #43
Carly Jo’s elementary school publishes a book for each 3rd grade class each year.  They have a publishing party on the day the books arrive and the kids bring stuffed animals and flashlights and enjoy a day reading their stories to each other and to parents.  She was super proud.
And we celebrated this special lady’s birthday with a nice dinner out.  Keith’s sister, Amy, is like a second mom to my kids.  She is always there when I need her and she is always packing some kind of great snacks and goodies.
Day#44
Carly put together her Valentines for her class on our drive out of town to watch Dillon’s last basketball game.
Day #45
Our church is working to start a women’s ministry and hosted the first event on Friday night.  It was a great night of fellowship followed by food and fun.
Holly & I were volunteering at the photo booth so of course we had to test out the props!
And I returned home to find my very favorite flowers from my favorite Valentine!
Day#46
Valentine pancakes & bacon before Keith & I ditched the Littles and headed to Fort Worth for some baseball.
The Frogs won game two and we took these two cuties to dinner.
My Valentine!
Day #47
Back at the ballpark for game 3, patiently waiting to see number 12 do his thing!
And finally after 26 innings of baseball the grand finale.  It’s not quite as exciting for him to come in and close when the score is 11-0 but I still love to see him on the mound.

Sunday is kids day at Lupton and after the game the kids get to run the bases and then go through the line for autographs.  I love seeing Riley interact and see the little kids so excited.  These sweet boys followed with their dad all the way to the World Series last year and they really like Riley.
And of course I love to see him giving an interview.  So fun.  He has really grown up so much in 3 years!
Mostly I love that this boy still calls me Momma and is still willing to take pictures with me after every single game if I want to.
And his girlfriend is quite the trooper.  As parents we have to sit through all this baseball but she has plenty of other things she could be doing.  Rarely has she missed a game and she sits patiently with the rest of us!  Even today when the weather changed and she was freezing.
Have a great week!

Hop over here to see where I might be linking up!

  1. Wow! You sure stayed busy last week! 😉 So fun. (I end the week on Sunday, too.) Also, I'm secretly envious that you did yard work… this is the first time we have ever had our own yard (actually, just a yard/grass/trees in general) and I'm excited to "tend to it"… even though I told Christian the other day, I'm not quite sure what that means. I have some reading to do, ha!

  2. I found you via my best friend who follows you who told me I needed to follow this TCU mom. I graduated from TCU in 2005 and worked there from 2005-2008. I Live in Fort Worth and eat, sleep and breathe all things horned frogs including baseball ( my ex husband played baseball for A&M). I know exactly who your sweet son is and now I am so excited to watch him pitch and follow you!
