The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 38
Another week behind us and the best part was having my boy home for a few days. Here is a little look back at our week!
I saw this as I left a meeting on Tuesday morning and it just made me laugh. Anywhere else this would seem odd but working on a college campus nothing surprises you.
Little missy was due for a haircut! I have sucked at getting this girl regular haircuts but finally this summer we started scheduling an appointment every 8 weeks and she totally looks forward to it.
Then it was on to date night with my big girl and sadly I managed to take a selfie of my outfit but we were talking so much a picture never even crossed our minds! Love my time alone with my girl.
On Thursday Dutch was chasing something in the house and we found this baby gecko. It was super tiny and I can’t believe it survived the wrath of Dutch Buddy but we safely relocated it outdoors.
It is not uncommon to find us eating some sort of tacos 3 nights out of the week. I cooked a pork roast in the crockpot with a can of enchilada sauce and some green chilis one night and it makes great tacos. We soak red onions in lime juice to garnish most of the time but this night we sautéed onion and added avocado and cilantro. So yummy!
We of course had to have cheeseburgers for National Cheeseburger day on Friday!
I chose to make mine bunless and even added a few jalepenos. I don’t know why but we always had ranch style beans growing up when we had burgers so I was just craving them on friday.
And then I spent the rest of the night on the back porch with these two crazy nuts. We were having fun with the new selfie stick and watching silly videos. When the three of us are together it always reminds me of the years when it was just the three of us against the world. They make my heart so happy!
Saturday we skipped the Aggie game so I could spend a little more time with Riley before he had to leave again Sunday. It is still pretty darn hot here in Texas so it was shorts and a lightweight top as we headed to meet my mom and have lunch .
One of Jordan’s good friends got married Sunday so she left early Saturday. She sent me this picture tonight and I may be just a tad biased but I seriously just think she is so gorgeous! Lauren was a beautiful bride and I’m really loving the dress she chose as well as the bridesmaids dresses.
Riley headed to the airport at 4:30 this morning and I’m already missing him. One month and he will be home just in time for his 22nd bday.
This week begins our birthday marathon as Carly Jo turns 10 on Tuesday. My last little baby will no longer be in single digits {single tear} and she is so excited!
Have a great week!
It looks like you had a great week! Those tacos look sooo good. Have a great week!
She is gorgeous!!!! Glad you had some time with the kiddos ! Have a great week my friend !
Your family just makes me smile! Looks like it was a good week. Also loved your other post about the sermon you heard this weekend. It was great advice to think about how our own wants and attitude affect the whole family and those around us. Have a good Monday!
