The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 25
We spent the past week in Omaha watching the Frogs play in the College World Series while finding a little fun along the way.
Day #166
The day started off raining so we had to modify our plans a bit. The one good thing about visiting states north of Texas is the pools are indoors!
We met up with Riley & Brooke for dinner and ice cream at Ted & Wally’s
#Day 167
Carly, Aunt Amy and I headed out to Lauritzen Gardens. So much more to see than I expected!
Met the boys for lunch at Stella’s Bar & Grill
And then found some fun at the College World Series Fan zone!
Dillon trying the home run challenge.
Our pre-game picture prior to TCU vs Vandy. We lost 1-0…one pitch for a homerun…baseball is a heartbreaker!
Day #168
We love the Henry Doorly Zoo and if you ever make it to Omaha it is a must see.
We met up with the boys at Upstream Brewery for some adult beverages and appetizers.
These two were being complete goofballs! They are either having a blast together or picking on each other these days.
And then met up with Riley at the hotel and headed to Old Chicago pizza for dinner.
Day #169
It was another dreary day so after we had lunch we walked a few blocks to explore the Fairmont candy shop.
#allthecandy
Back to Ameritrade to watch TCU vs LSU in an elimination game. The Frogs pulled off a win to stay alive.
Day #170
We weren’t quite finished with our sign but we headed down to tell Riley good luck before they headed to the field.
This little girl is so proud of her big brother!
Another date night at the ballpark!
Riley’s cheering section!
TCU did not pull off a win and though this picture is not the greatest I had to have one last pic of my boy in this uniform that has meant so much to him!
It was not the ending they had all hoped for of course but I believe these boys all had the time of their life playing the game they all love. We are so proud of them!
So much love for this kid and the man he has become in a short 3 years!
Riley’s two roommates, both also pitchers and they will all go their separate ways for now. I’m confident the bond they have created will remain no matter the distance between them.

Day #171
Home again, home again, loopity loo! We left Omaha at 7am and road tripped it home.
We were all super excited to see our little Dutch Buddy! He has not left my side since I arrived.
Day #172
Dillon actually had a game in Conroe at 8am so after the long drive yesterday Keith actually got up at the crack of dawn and took Dillon to play ball while leaving me & Carly to catch up on our sleep. The boys lost their first game so they were back home early and he was able to go fishing to make his father’s day complete!
Fell in love with those dimples from day one but never dreamed I would fall in love with him all over again when I saw him be a dad. You would not know my Bigs are not his own as he loves them equally as he does the Littles. If I had been in his shoes I’m not sure I could have done it and it has always amazed me.
I cooked up one of his favorite meals for dinner and it was fantastic to eat at home!! I went to Sam’s today and plan to be cooking at home for weeks after all the eating out we have be doing.
Hope you all are having a great summer so far! Time for a few little projects around here…organizing the pantry, painting some furniture and bedrooms and moving some kids around are a few of the things I have planned. Hoping I make it to a beach at some point too!
Have a super week!

WOW, looks like an amazing trip! We were cheering so hard for TCU!!! Those guys played so well!
