The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 19

·
Week 19 is in the books and it was full of celebrations and making memories!
Day #124
The Queen's Chronicles
Dillon was awarded Most Outstanding Student on his team at school and also received a certificate for being student of the month in December.  Thankfully there is not a category for making sure your certificate is turned the correct way!  Photographer fail.
Junior High can be quite an adjustment and we are so proud of Dillon and the way he has handled the transition.
Day #125
I wasn’t feeling so hot and Dutch was hanging with me for carpooling Dillon around to baseball practice.
Day #126
Carly had her dance recital and I totally love that we didn’t notice ourselves in the mirror.  Look at those big smiles….we are so proud of these dancers.
We had to take a then and now picture!  Here we are with the girls in 2005.
And again in 2015.  They sure have grown up!
Day #127
On Thursday Carly accompanied Holly and her kidos to the Evans Library on campus to hand out gum to students to help them #blowawayfinals.  Carly loves this and Dillon was sad he had to miss this time.
This is such an easy way to spread joy and you wouldn’t think a little piece of gum could make a difference but the kids seriously walk the floor and as they are handing out gum you can see the smiles everywhere as the students figure out what is going on.
Day #128
Sadly this picture of my outfit from the doctors office was my only picture from Friday!  A second round of antibiotics for me and I am on the mend thank goodness.
Day #129
Saturday morning this picture popped up on my Timehop and I could not believe it was only one year ago!  These boys are growing like crazy and not just in height.  They have matured so much in their face too.
They were all together playing 7 on 7 football Saturday morning so my friend Shelley recreated the picture for me.  Isn’t that wild?  One year people!!  Sloooooow down please!
Day #130
Mother's Day
Every year TCU has senior day and mom’s first pitch on the last home weekend but unfortunately the game was cancelled due to weather.  I’m sad I didn’t get to show off my wind up but so happy we had a long lunch and lots of good talk with my boy.
And since it is Mother’s Day…this is the kind of looks my kids usually see when I’m directing them how to do something…lots of pointing and direction!  haha
And my mom rode along with Carly and I to Fort Worth for the weekend too.
We arrived home in time to enjoy a delicious meal my hubby prepared himself and I got to hang out with these three.  Being a mom is the best job ever and these kids really make me look like I know what I’m doing !!
Keith’s mom and sister also came for dinner and bonus they brought strawberry shortcake.  It was a really nice evening to just be together and celebrate Mother’s Day.  Keith gets super kudos for going to the store for all the food, purchasing hanging baskets for me and both grandmothers and preparing the entire dinner.  He’s a keeper!
And let’s not forget my newest baby boy, Dutch.  He was super excited to see me and I had to get some snuggles after he calmed down.
School is winding down and this week our calendar looks a little more laid back at home which is a good thing since we will be having our budget kickoff on Tuesday at work.
I’m most excited about hearing Melanie Shankle from Big Mama speak at an event this coming Friday!!!!
Wishing you all a super week!

  1. Ha! I laughed out loud at the pic of you pointing & directing – can totally relate. Sometimes those out takes show so much real life 😉 How fun that you get to hear Melanie Shankle speak!! I love her books!

    1. My kids think it's funny to hold down the continuous shoot button and take a million pictures as I get irritated! Toots they are. Have a great week!
