The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 18

·
Check out what we have been up to this week!
Day #117
As I was getting in my car on Monday I happened to notice this funnel cloud.  It’s amazing how much excitement this caused in our little town.  Thankfully this did not form into a tornado
Day #118
No earthly idea what in the heck we did on Tuesday….no idea!
Day #119
Spring Style
I started my day on a field trip with Dillon…..but I have no pictures to prove it (middle school!) so you are left with a picture of my outfit for the day!  I was working on being casual, comfortable and just a little bit hip by adding my camo pants.  🙂 We went to see Monkey Kingdom (for the record I would rather stick needles in my eye) and then had a picnic lunch on the A&M campus before taking the campus tour.  Now y’all…I have worked on campus for 23 years and seriously had no idea we had a little feral cat colony going on near Heldenfels…no idea.  I was super impressed with these 7th graders honestly…great kids!
Spring Style
On to Girls Night Out where we celebrated my friend Johanna’s “new age”…I was super excited to find this wine at World Market.   Lots of comments on my instagram post about this being a great wine so I’m excited to grab a bottle for myself.
And somehow we managed to leave dinner without taking a picture but I cracked up when this popped up the next day on my Timehop!  We are obviously creatures of habit as we were dining for Johanna’s birthday last year at the exact same restaurant!  Love these girls so much!
Day #120
Mom’s treat for lunch since there was literally nothing left in the fridge!  No complaints from this girl as she thinks Chicken Express is the bomb.
Thursday night we celebrated as Dillon was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  Handsome and smart!
Day #121
These two had dentist appointments first thing Friday which meant we had just enough time to run by Shipley’s donuts for breakfast.
Friday night Dillon went to the middle school dance with his friend Adrian.  These kids are all growing up way too fast!
Day #122
We started off the day stopping by the CSISD art show.  Carly was not at all interested in taking a picture with this “creepy” thing!
She was super proud of her Picasso self portrait.  We were impressed too!
On to Round Rock for baseball and Carly was happy to have another baseball sister there to kill the time.
Dillon’s team went 2 for 2 on Saturday!
Day #123
Another pitcher….not sure my nerves can take it!  Dillon’s motions look so much like Riley’s but they are so different in personality and he is much different in his approach on the mound.

I was texting with my brother and he sent me this picture of my nephew who is totally obsessed with baseball!!!  Bonus he’s a lefty..look out!
On my way home my friend Holly sent me this adorable picture of my sweet Dutch Buddy (why yes she did use the Word Swag App).  This was his first time to be boarded overnight and he did great!  We were not going to be home in time so I was thankful she was able to pick him up for me.
Keith and I ran to the grocery store when we got back to town so we could grill burgers and corn as well as a few things for the remainder of the week.  So yummy!
Another week of fun done!  The coming week looks to be just as exciting with awards, a dance recital and a trip to Fort Worth for some TCU baseball.  I’m going to work on enjoying the crazy as one of my goals for May!  Hope you have a great one!

  1. OK – can we talk about that MAN that Dillon is becoming?! Holy heck that boy is growing and getting even more handsome!!! Loved Carly's art piece (and the way she looked super proud!). I know she was so happy to have someone at the ball field! And, could your nephew be any cuter?! These are some of my favorite posts!!! Keep up the crazy! Hoping we can get a few cute pics before the dance recital! Think the girls will let us recreate the one from 5 years ago?! 🙂

  2. I just don't see how you do it all! Truly, I don't. We have something every single night this week and I woke up with my eye twitching this morning! I think I'm going into shock! And I only have ONE kid!

  3. Oh my gosh! I have never even seen a funnel cloud. I am so glad it was only a funnel cloud and didn't touch down! I am loving those camo pants on you!
