The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 12

·
Spring Break has come to and end! Nothing too crazy around here but we did have some fun and checked some things off that we needed to do.
Day #75
Enjoyed girls night out with my friend Cindy.  The weather was perfect for dining on the patio!
Day #76
This boy….he was posing for me so I could test the lighting for some outfit pictures.  He is growing so darn fast and I just want to hug him so tight and not let go!
Day #77
Got up at the crack of dawn and drove to my hometown to pick up my Mamaw and drive her to Sugar Land for an appointment with her neurologist.  We enjoyed lunch at Olive Garden and even went shopping for a new chair for her apartment before purging her closet!  Exciting times!
Day #78
My kids all have received special treatment over the years at Nana’s house.  It is totally expected there will be homemade waffles served in bed on trays every single time!
We had lunch at our favorite little hamburger joint with my niece.
And then we took a little drive around my hometown and I showed the girls the road my grandparents once lived on and also where I spent my first 5 years.  They were impressed the road is named after my great, great grandparents as they once owned most of the land along the road.
Carly and I grabbed a dip cone from DQ as we headed back to College Station.
Day #79
Carly and I headed to Fort Worth to watch TCU play OSU.  It was much cooler than we expected so we were excited about the hot chocolate.  The Frogs lost….and Riley gave up a HR in the 12th inning so it was kind of a bummer.  We finally got to our hotel at midnight!
Day #80
Took this little priss for a little shopping on Saturday morning.  We headed to Marshall’s and were excited to find DKNY, Levi. Lucky Brand and even Hudson brand jean shorts in her size…for $12.99.  I am now regretting not buying this cute little sundress.  She just loves shopping…but only for her!  If I digress too long in my size she is totally over it!
Then we headed to the Fort Worth Zoo.  The weather was chilly and a little dreary but that makes for a perfect day to see lots of animals with no crowds.  We saw everything and got great pictures in an hours time
I really can’t remember a time I have ever seen 7 giraffe out at one time and there were 5 elephants which included the two babies.  The white tiger was roaring, the hippos were playing and it was just an awesome day.
We grabbed a late lunch at one of my favorite places to eat when in Fort Worth, Hoffbrau, and then we hit the road for College Station.
We ended the night waiting for the boys to get home from fishing with some snuggles and HGTV.
Day #81
It was Carly’s besties birthday and her mom throws the very best parties!  Carly was super excited to sew her own pillow.
I’m working on bribing Dillon to take pictures for me so he & his friend Colby were helping me out. These boys totally crack me up.  I love them both so much and when I found these pictures on my phone I just died.
 Cheap labor!
We grilled burgers for dinner and I had mine with no bun.  Time to get serious about losing the winter coat.  It was still super yummy with pico and guacamole so I wasn’t complaining.
We ended the night with a hula hoop competition!  I don’t know where my kids get it from but they love to hula hoop.  Carly’s best time was 7:16.
And Dillon finally hung it up when he hit 10 minutes!
Back to the grind tomorrow!  Hope you all have a fabulous week!
Check out where I might be linking up here!
