The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 10

Here’s what we were up to this past week!
Day #61
Our week started off a little more eventful than anticipated when I received a call from the school about 3:45 to let me know Dillon had injured what I thought they said was his ankle.  I arrived to pick him up and he was in a wheelchair.  I guess he was trying to overachieve jumping bleachers and stepped off wrong but his foot was definitely not looking right.  We headed to urgent care for an x-ray and were thankful to see it was only a sprain.   Hoping there is no stress fracture and he will be back at it in a week or so.
Day#62
Woohoo….the Frogs secured a win against Rice and Riley set the school record with his 21st save.  We are super proud of him.
Day #63
Quick dinner of spaghetti and roasted asparagus.  We have been a little off on our dinners at home.  Note it’s only Wednesday and I was already needing some wine.
Day #64
Carly Jo sang her heart out at the 3rd grade program!
Day #65
Woke up in Marina Del Rey and headed to Venice Beach to rent bikes for a ride up the coast.
And on to USC for baseball.  The Frogs came up short after 12 innings losing 7-6.
Day #66
Headed out to Malibu to see El Matador beach and eat some yummy seafood.
And then on to watch the Frogs beat UCLA at Jackie Robinson Field.
Day #67
Headed to Dodger Stadium to watch the Frogs beat #1 Vanderbilt!  Enjoyed my time with my lovely friend Ginny!
Riley came in to close in the 8th and secured his 5th save this season.
Back to reality for us this week!  Hope you all have a good one.

  2. So glad your son wasn't hurt too terribly bad! Loved seeing your beautiful pictures on IG! And don't feel bad about needing wine on Wednesday–it's considered a fruit in my house 🙂 Happy Tuesday!
