The Queen’s chronicles – senior season
It has definitely been a senior season that has been focused all around Carly Jo! There have been awards, celebrations and lots of smiles. The Queen’s Chronicles acts as a little scrapbook for my family so I wanted to capture some of these sweet times here.
Carly and I joined the National Charity League when she entered 7th grade and enjoyed six years of serving the community together. There were definitely some times when we got a little sweaty but it was worth it as serving always warms your heart. We joined Carly and her classmates at her formal senior recognition. She found this dress and just had to have it and I allowed the splurge because it’s senior year after all! It looked so darling on her.
Next up was a dinner honoring Carly Jo and her kindergarten teacher for the Class of 24 Hall of Fame! This is such a special honor as only 6% of students are chosen and they are voted on by the high school teachers. Once chosen, the student chooses a teacher who has made an impact on them during their school years. Carly chose Cara who has become like family to us. The students write an essay about the teacher and I had tears reading this one!
This crew had so much fun at their senior prom! I love seeing their sweet personalities shine in these pictures. Carly chose another black dress because “mom, I look good in black” and it was darling. The dress actually comes in multiple colors and is a fun one if you have somewhere fancy to go.
I love this picture with our girl! One of my biggest pieces of advice is to always, always jump in for a quick picture no matter if you are dressed for it. You won’t regret having these one day.
Spring is full of competion season and prepping for the spring showcase. These girls work so hard ALL YEAR LONG. There are not many days they do not start practice by 6:45am. This year Carly served as social officer and really used her creativity to shine in this leadership role. This is definitely a sisterhood that she will not soon forget and a special time we will surely miss.
Lastly we celebrated all of their achievements at the end of year banquet. The girls love any chance to dess up and of course they love eating!
Senior year has been so sweet for our girl. Such beautiful memories that we will all hold dear for a really long time! She will graduate this coming Friday so I’m sure I will still have another post or two.
Sweet Carly Jo! I love all of her dresses… she’s so beautiful! I can’t believe she graduates this year!
