The Queen’s Chronicles – Playtime
We had such a great week that I couldn’t help but share all the fun with you! I took the first two days back from holiday break off which is always one of my best decisions. I was able to get all my Christmas decorations down and put away and the house back into a functional state. The rest of The Queen’s Chronicles was all about playtime!
As much as I wanted to follow Dutch’s lead, I knew that being productive on my days off would carry me much further. He’s such a good snuggle buddy!
Keeping this girl was high on my list of things that would bring me joy and I was able to help her momma out a little while I was off. She loves her some waffles and she loves standing at the bar to eat which we really probably need to nip in the bud for obvious reasons.
She LOVES her toys from Lovevery! It is a subscription box that comes every 3 months and is based on the current age. It is filled with Montessori type toys and it’s been so fun to see how quickly she picks up how to play with them. It’s been perfect for Honey’s house and the I’ve kept the box so it is easy to pack away once she outgrows them. It seems pricey but the toys are so fun and great quality so it was an investment that was worth it for our first grand as I hope there are more to follow!
Thankful for color wonder markers! She managed to move right onto coloring on the table multiple times and thought it was hilarious!
She loves to do everything herself but can get very frustrated when she can’t. The maker lids were hard for her to open and I love hearing her say “hep me” when she finally gives up trying. This face just cracks me up!
We were blessed with beautiful weather on her days with me and this girl loves being outside!
I updated the front porch with a new doormat and layering doormat. I’m loving the simplicity.
We had an exciting Saturday heading to check out the new Big Shot in town! Big Shots Golf opened in Aggieland and we were invited to come out for a visit. Our crew had so much fun hitting some balls, eating some yummy food and just enjoying the day together. I felt like the golfing games were set to work for any skill level just about and they also have a great bar area, corn hole and putt putt golf on site.
Little miss spent Saturday night with us and it was still warm enough to play outside when she woke up on Sunday. Bubbles are one of her very favorite activities and we will keep them going as long as she wants to!
Side note….do you ever think you could not love your spouse more and then something grows your heart even more? Seeing how much Keith loves this little girl is like that for me!
She love throwing the ball for Dutch too….even though he rarely chases after it! She already has quite the arm!
And the curls y’all…the curls are just the cutest! In case you can’t tell we are pretty darn obsesses with her. Our sweet brown eyed girl brings so much sunshinie to our days.
Now it’s back to work and all things adulting! On my list this week is to finally schedule Carly Jo’s drivers test! I think we are all FINALLY ready for our last little bird to hit the road.
Hope you all have a super week ahead!
