The Queen’s Chronicles – October Weekends
October has already been full of so many sweet memories and we are only halfway through! I’m rounding up a few of my favorite pictures from our first two weekends in the Queen’s Chronicles. I love having a little scrapbook of our memories to circle back to.
We headed to Stillwater for family weekend, aka Dads weekend for sorority life, and were so excited to get our arms around our girl after 7 weeks of not seeing her face! She talked non stop and showed us around her sorority house and campus. Keith was a sport and learned her “gang sign” as he referred to it. Dillon and his girllfriend Lauren also joined us.
I think it’s safe to say that our girl is thriving and loving every second of college life. Thankfully that means she is also going to class and making good grades!
Carly didn’t have a fall break this year but was able to sneak home this past weekend as she was dying to meet her new nephew! Jaxson quickly won her heart. She also got to see her Haisley girl and was relieved that she still was excited to see her since she hasn’t really been interested in talking to her on facetime. 🙂
Once she knew her bestie would also been in town for the weekend it was a no brainer that she was coming! We quickly secured tickets and headed to a music festival with our friends and had the best time. The girls have been wanting to see Megan Moroney for some time and y’all, she is PRECIOUS. She put on such a good show and we had so much fun singing along.
Carly had to be back early on Sunday and was up and on the road by 6:30am. I’m not going to lie, I teared up as she backed out of the driveway. I don’t think it will ever be easy watching them drive away. I’m gearing up to launch Dillon for a second time as he’s been living back at home this last year but is going to be moving to Midland in a few weeks. The thought of having both my littles 6+ hours away is pretty hard on my heart but I’m going my best to let God work his plan over their lives!
This weekend is another big birthday weekend as Riley turns 31 on Friday, I will be 55 on Saturday and Keith will FINALLY turn the big 5-0 on Sunday! Trying to decide on a fun way to celebrate him even though he told me not to. 😉
Hope your October is shaping up to be a good one! We are still waiting for some crisp fall weather but otherwise enjoying every second.
