The Queen’s Chronicles – Mother’s Day Weekend
Happy Monday! It’s been a bit since I’ve rounded up my pictures for a Queen’s Chronicles post and since we actually has some fun outings over Mother’s day weekend I figured it would be a great chance.
We went to a wedding in my hometown and it was fun hanging out at an old familiar dance hall with this crew. Sadly, that old saying “if it’s too loud your too old” had me feeling my age and we didn’t stay long once the band started up.
I did love having this cowboy along and we were able to make it through the longest grand march ever and one trip around the dance floor before heading out.
We were able to take my mom out for lunch on Sunday. It’s been a really long year since last Mother’s day but we are thankful we are feeling thankful for meds that make this lady smile again and trying to continue to find the joys still remaining to be had.
Carly has a project each six weeks in her World Geography class and wanted to visit the Houston Japanese Gardens so we made a little detour on our way back to College Station. She was cracking me up because every time we saw something like this she was looking for something to explain what it said so she wouldn’t have to try and look it up.
It was obvious the garden was impacted by the freeze we had in February but it was still a tranquil and beautiful place for an outing on a Sunday afternoon.
This sweet duck was watching over her little duckling who was waddlling around in the tall grass catching bugs. We watched them for a long time hoping that little cutie would pop out into the path but we were out of luck. Felt appropriate to see a momma and a baby on Mother’s day!
We ended the day having dinner with my mother-in-law. This picture is actually from the weekend before when we headed to watch Carly dance in the Strutter showcase. The new members perform the dance they auditioned to and these girls aLways put on such a great show. I can’t wait to see her in her little uniform come August!
Thankfully my house is mostly put back together as we have another busy week! Our sweet Haisley Grace will turn one on Friday which just seems absolutely crazy!! Then we will have Carly’s big showcase event of all the company dances on Saturday night.
Hope you all have a super week!
Looks like a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day. I hope you have a great week!
