The Queen’s Chronicles – Life Lately
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a little life lately post so here are a few pictures from our past week. As a family unit we drove quite a few miles.
We headed to Houston and met up with my family to celebrate my little brother’s 45th birthday! We are all 3 just a little crazy and food is definitely our love language, but the thing I love the most is how hard we have loved each other. Through the good times and the tough times I know these two have my back.
Had a date night with this hunk and we coordinate outfits by chance! I love when that happens. I think I talked his head off…so much going on in our lives right now.
And I guess we will have to start getting use to these outings on our own as our babies seem to have better offers for July 4th than to hang out with their parents. No worries, we had a great time eating good food with our friends even if I did have a little anxiety over the fireworks being a little too close to me.
I laughed at one point when I pulled up our Life 360 app and saw we were spread out all over the place. You can’t see it on here but Riley was all the way on the other side of the US in California. He doesn’t allow me to follow him on Life 360 (insert eye roll).
With everyone gone I was able to knock out a few projects and do some cleaning and organizing for a few days. I don’t know about you, but I can get so much more done in this area when I’m home alone!
Meanwhile Jordan and her roomies were soaking up the sun on 30A in Florida. How lucky is she to have a roommate whose parents live there! I’m so jealous and need a vacation like this in my future.
I’m so sad to be missing out on this little trip to the Atlanta area but so excited to see how happy these boys were after spending an early morning on the lake catching fish. Dillon is playing in a tournament there but I’m glad to see they were able to squeeze in some fun.
On Saturday I drove to pick this girl up from a week at Nana’s house. I feel like she is changing so quickly and looks so much more like a teen than a little girl these days. She spent the week swimming and hanging with her cousins! Last night we curled up on the couch and watched The Princess Diaries and I may have teared up a little when she asked me to put my arm around her. Seriously, wasn’t I just doing this with Jordan yesterday? It just goes so fast y’all.
My brother and I also drove to Corpus Christi to pick up Riley’s truck and belongings. Literally when he was called to Triple A it was “hey…tomorrow you will be flying out” so he had to just leave everything with his host mom. He arrived home late last night as Triple A is on all star break so he will be home until Wednesday for a little visit.
And I could use some prayers for lots of peace and patience this week as we launch our merit process using a new system for the first time. Eek! I’m so nervous and excited and just so ready to get it rolling but at the same time anxious about what we may encounter unexpectedly. I love a good challenge though.
Wishing you all a sweet week!
