The Queen’s Chronicles – Let’s Celebrate
October is always such a big month for our family as we celebrate 5 birthdays! Jordan & Taylor share the same birthday earlier in the month but this last week Riley, Keith and I celebrate over 3 consecutive days. It’s my favorite becuase it means having all my babies together at least a few times. I love October and I think it is truly because my mom always made my birthday so special. So let’s celebrate with the Queen’s Chronicles of our last week!
One thing no one tells you when your kids are little is that one day you will really miss having one on one time with them. Having lunch with Riley on his birthday just meant so much to me! I can’t believe he is 29!
Of course everyone loves celebrating Riley so we also had dinner at Gringos that evening.
One thing I’ve learned is that planning my own birthday doesn’t mean my family doesn’t love me but it DOES mean I take away any chance of disppointment if I get to choose how I celebrate. I made chilli and Keith brought the pumpkins and we had so much fun being together. Taylor and Jordan created their own carvings and I was so impressed. Not pictured was Dillon who was asleep on the couch…I mean at least he came lol. And Jordan’s boyfriend who was sweet enough to take the picture.
One Thursday I was excited to celebrate my friend Holly as she reached the 250 milestone at PureBarre. I truly love how well PureBarre celebrates milestones and creates monthly challenges too keep me motivated. And I’m so incredibly proud of this friend!
Friday night we headed out to othe Brazos Valley Fair! We didn’t ride any rides but we did see lots of animals, had some carnival food (the bacon wrapped fried oreo was SO good) and watched the rodeo. The night ended with a concert from Aaron Watson. It was fun hanging out with my oldest and her old roomates who I had not seen in a bit.
I’ll never get tired of seeing Keith in a cowboy hat! Takes me right back to the first time I ever saw him and those dimples! You can’t tell in this pic but we also matched without even seeing one another and may have found our family pic outfits.
Now it’s off to the last week of October! Keith is leaving for a hunting trip to Colorado this week and one of my best friends from college is coming in to go to the Aggie game with me so it should be an exciting week.
Hope yours is joyful wherever you are!
