The Queen’s Chronicles – January Photodump
Whew, January flew right on by and somehow I managed to skip the Monday post for The Queen’s Chronicles. Since I use this space as a mini scrapbook for our family, I wanted to catch up! Here’s a January photodump with all of our adventures!
Keith and I attended the wedding of one of Riley’s college roomates and it was beautiful! When you play baseball, weddings all seem to happen in the winter before spring training starts so Riley and Taylor have been on the road all month! This one was special to us and it was so fun to see so many of Riley’s former teamates from TCU as well as the coaches.
The venue, Boxwood Manor in Tomball, was gorgeous and all the details from the flowers to the china were beautiful. There were some fun nods to baseball too and pay close attention to their wall of MVPs! They used baseballs with each guests name on them and the table number on the back. Such a unique way to do your seating chart! And of course they ended the night with personalized what-a-burger!
We have finally downloaded the pics from Riley & Taylors wedding and since I never posted those, you can look forward to a photo dump with maybe some tips on being the mother of the groom soon.
Finally, the girl drove herself to the DPS and got herself a license! It was a process and she has been 16 since September but I was just dragging out my last time alone in the car with my girl. For you parents who aren’t there yet, while you worry about them more once they are driving, you also miss that one on one time you have in the car together. I have to admit, it has been nice to recapture some time for myself but I miss her sitting next to me.
We had a full weekend with our Haisley Grace and packed in so much fun! Friday started with a little visit to Honey’s office and then we were off to the local children’s museum. She had so much fun exploring and is so social and loves other kids. This girl is always moving so grabbing a picture is sometimes tough!
On Saturday we headed out to Keith’s dads to feed cows and Haisley was in awe of some real moos! Animals and their sounds have been one of her fave things so this was so fun to see her loving the real moos. We have tons of new little baby calves!
She did NOT want to leave and did the whole stiff body thing when I tried too load her up so she had to help me drive to the gate and thought she was big stuff!
The rest of the weekend was fully snuggles and giggles and as always lots of bubbles! This girl has all of us wrapped around her finger. I thought I could not love Keith more but seeing him with her just makes my heart sing.
Carly spent a few hours one Saturday installing this fun painted rock river at a local child advocacy center. National Charity League is a group for moms and daughters to volunteer together in the community and this last year they were able to volunteer to paint these rocks for this rock river.
If you made it this far, thanks for sticking around through ALL the pics from our January photodump. I’ll try to keep up in February and avoid the picture overload!
