The Queen’s Chronicles – Halloween Weekend
We had a weekend jam packed with football and trunk or treat fun! I love pulling together our weeks for the Queen’s Chronicles as a little scrapbook for my family. Here is a look at our Halloween weekend.
Friday night was the cross town showdown! Our rival high school has been in a different district the last few years but we are back together again and the spirit and excitement of the game did not disappoint. The Strutters sported their new uniform jackets which were so darling and they danced at halftime in a combined performance with the Belles from the rival school. We were down 21-0 with 6 minutes left in the 1st quarter so things were not looking good but the Cougars managed to pull off a 31-28 win!
I missed the excitement as I left at halftime to go grab this sweet girl for a sleepover. Pop K is out of town on a hunting trip so Honey needed some company.
On Saturday, one of my best friends from college came to town and we headed to Kyle Field for the Aggie game. Thank goodnes for good friends and laughs because the game was less than stellar.
Dillon and his girlfriend Delayni had a date party and dressed up as Woody & Jesse! They are adorable!
On Sunday, Carly and her friends set up a trunk or treat at the church. When you are from a baseball family, it makes it pretty easy to pull together a theme! They were so cute and I’m just so proud of Carly for finding a youth home at church that she loves being part of.
And then there was this crew! My daughter-in-law is super talented and sewed up these costumes. Every year I’m excited to see what she comes up with and am equally impressed that Riley is on board to particpate.
They entered the costume contest and Haisley was so dang cute waving at the crowed when they announced her name!
And guess what? They WON first place! She was excited about her medal.
She loves her some Aunt Car Car and snuggled up in her lap hoping to convince her to open her m&m’s after everyone else had said not until after dinner. She’s a smart girl!
There was even a perfect trunk backdrop for little miss Cindy Lou Who! Gosh we just cannot get enough of this precious girl. She is just the happiest little thing.
These are the kind of weekends that put a smile so big on my face and just make me feel so grateful for this life. Heading into the work week feeling joyful and refreshed.
Hope you have a great week!
