The Queen’s Chronicles – Fourth Fun

While Carly and I were in Florida, the boys headed off to Atlanta for a national baseball tourney. It was a long 12 days apart but in the wee hours of July 4th the boys arrived home! After so much roadtripping we decided to keep our Fourth Fun on the down low.

Festive Food #july4th #foodiefun

Making patriotic waffles has been a tradition around our house for quite a few years so I did make sure to have all the supplies avaialble when we finally stirred. Even Jordan made it by for a little brunch!

I was excited a few weeks ago when I cleaned out my drawers and found this t-shirt! It arrived too late for July 4th last year and I had forgotten all about it. J. Crew Factory always has fun t-shirts and you can actually grab this years version of this tee on sale right now. My white denim shorts have been on repeat because they are a great length and perfectly stretchy

We cooked burgers and Carly had a friend over to spend the night. These two dance friends have really grown their friendship the last 6 months are so and are just a tad silly together!

We headed up to campus to meet our besties to settle in and watch the fireworks at the George Bush Library! This has been such a long standing tradition and we have only missed a few years since Carly was born.

My friend Holly’s daughter is super passionate about animals and has always dreamed of having a therapy dog. Meet Millie Mae who is currently in training!

Farmers Market Finds

Saturday morning we decided to check out the farmers market in downtown Bryan which is our sister city. Look at these beautiful tomatoes! We stopped on the way home and grabbed mozzerella and balsalmic reduction and, y’all, our caprese´salad was delish!

Farmers Market Finds

We also grabbed a jar of spicy bread and butter pickles and might be slightly ashamed to say half the jar is gone!! As much as we love pickles, they must be crunchy and these were perfect.

Farmers Market Finds

I super love that this girl is normally pretty excited to try new things and didn’t mind heading out early with me. These blooms came from a local grower and they are still looking beautiful!

Farmers Market Finds

Of course, the main reason I was wanting to go to the farmers market was to try some homemade ice cream sandwiches from a local vendor. They were all sold out by the time we arrived but we snagged a pint of peaches and cream. Yep, Keith helped but we knocked that out after dinner! It was AMAZING!

Don't Mess with Texas

Carly and I laughed when we realized we were both wearing Texas Forever shirts. I decided to make her pose with this little mural on our way home.

Threads Boutique #summerstyle #fashion

Of course we also stopped to browse a local boutique that has become a little dangerous so close to home! I mean, how cute is this little twist front sweater on my girl? It was a little too cropped for me but a perfect little fit for Miss Carly.

I honestly only stopped by to grab this Texas Mama shirt that recently restocked but of course had to try on some new things. How adorable is this THML top? It’s super soft and a great fit. You can snag it here and use code QUEEN15 for a little discount. You can visit my Shop BCS highlight to see the other things I tried on including this maxi!

Home Sweet Home

Mostly we enjoyed some downtime at home and as little time as possible in the car! I’m loving how our front room is coming together. What is suppose to be a formal dining room has become a cozy little space to watch TV or catch up on my bible study. Hopefully I’ll have the last little touches completed one day soon.

Carly Jo and I did head out to see Toy Story 4 and, y’all, I highly recommend it! It was SO good! I laughed so hard and may have teared up just a tad.

We finished off the weekend grilling steaks and making all the veggies. The fridge is also prepped for the week and all dinners planned! I’d show off our food but we’ve been embracing the festive paper plate life all weekend long!

Happy Monday friends! Hope you have an amazing week.
