The Queen’s Chronicles

·
This week started to be a slow picture week but ended with a bang!  Here’s what we were up to.
I logged 5 workouts which included trying a step class.  Step use to be my very favorite workout but it has probably been at least 8 years since I’ve been to a step class.  It was so fun!
It’s been a rough week on the home front for meals.  I have seriously been in a cooking funk but finally on Thursday I decided enough was enough and made my moms meatloaf.
I shared my March outfit favorites on Instagram.
And the biggest event…..I rolled 100K on my beloved Maxima!!  It was seriously a huge moment and I made sure the kids were aware of just how huge an event this was as we counted down AND pulled over for a picture.
I headed to my hometown Friday afternoon and was able to catch this little princess in action on the softball field.  Love the intensity!
And the bubble blowing!
Her team had a rough game…..but I’m blaming it on the pitcher!  Seriously…loved seeing my brother out there being a daddy.
Then we headed over to visit Mamaw.  I seriously can’t take a serious picture with this girl.  She’s always saying something crazy the entire time we are trying to take a picture.
She kind of loves for us to come visit….and kind of spends the entire time telling the kids not to touch anything.  haha.  I loved that Carly was giving her the run down of her schedule for the weekend.
Nana’s house is known best for homemade waffles in bed….even for the adults!  I didn’t hesitate to enjoy mine.  I’m a weirdo and do not eat syrup.
We spent most of the day in Houston watching Dillon play baseball.  It was a beautiful day.
We picked up my niece and nephew and took them Los Cucos for dinner.  For certain Aunt Shelly required a large marg to make it through our sleepover!  This restaurant was a seafood restaurant when I was growing up and it sits right on the Colorado river so we had to have a river view.
Seriously am not sure how I ended up alone at a mall but I almost got lost!   I came home with a few of these things but surprisingly not all of them.  J. Crew Factory was having a great sale and even though I did not need any more shorts, at $19 I had to grab one more pair.   Not pictured but I also grabbed this tee..because I’m on an orange binge.
Banana Republic Tee||Factory Stripe Popover (also in yellow)||Factory Chinos 5″||Striped Tee||Maxi Skirt
I treated myself to a Sonic diet coke with vanilla and cherry for happy hour.  Soft drinks are not something I crave very often but every once in awhile a Sonic drink is the best treat!
I ended the week with a surprise date on the patio ALONE with this guy.  I don’t think we have had this much conversation alone in a good month.  It was nice!  Don’t tell but he may be my favorite.  #dimplesfordays
Hope you all have a super week!

  1. Oh my goodness! The bubble gum pic of Morgan is precious! LOVE it! And, Mamaw always makes me smile! Maybe it's because I'm pretty sure she's saying something inappropriate! 😉 And, I need a date with you soon. It was so fun having lots of time with you and then – BAM – nothing! 🙁

  2. Surprise dates are fantastic. I think even more fun than planned ones. Yay, for your Maxima…hoping my Altima follows your car's good example. We are at 65K right now and going strong. Love the outfits in the dressing room, the baseball, your PEDI! And those blue heels in the top pics of your fav March outfits are killer, girl friend.!

  3. Surprise dates are far and few between for us but oh so great when we get one! I always have the same problem with J.Crew shorts – I feel like I can't go into the store without buying a new pair. They're the best! Have a fantastic Monday! -xx Leah || Chasing Texas

  4. Girl…you know I'm weird already! I stopped eating lots of sweets when I was in junior high and started my obsession with my weight…and some things I just never missed enough to add back. My mamaw is a trip….girl she will say stuff like "everybody say sex" when we are taking pictures!!

  5. Morgan was intense girl….but that is all she did was stand there lol. Once the ball was hit somewhere she totally got engrossed in actually watching the game instead of playing it. 2nd grade….really young to "get" it I think.

  6. The intensity in those softball photos is so great :D! Good job on 5 workouts lady! I'm not really much of a syrup fan either but I do like fruit on mine.
