Babies, Barbie wannabes, Best friends and Baseball are just a few things we had going on over here this week!  Come take a look.
I was greeted with this work of art first thing Monday morning!  Carly & her friend Reese were at my office on Friday and I was totally present but not 100% paying attention to this work of art but walking in to this on Monday morning was perfect.

On Monday I was super excited to visit my old trainer to deliver dinner and hold her precious, perfect new little bundle.  Seriously…that little foot though!!  Give me all the babies…..but just to hold and then I’m good.

Finally decided to drag my Barbie wannabe self back to the gym on Tuesday and found this.  There is nothing worse for a bladder after 4 babies than 350 jump ropes!!  #allthepee

One of my gym buddies posted this shirt and I’m like totally buying in to FIT{ish} because I just don’t think I’m ever going to drop the ish that’s hanging around posing as love handles.

Could be because I’m enjoying amazing meals like these crab cakes I had Tuesday night.  My friend Amanda who was sitting across from me may be scarred from the way I inhaled these.

Lots of love for these beauties as we celebrated Johanna’s 40th!  I’m still not sure about this but my sitter asked if my shirt was see through….it is Not…or is not suppose to be.  Eek.

Introducing my new fur grandbaby, Pesto.  Jordan has been following Princess Pesto’s story for months and finally decided she needed to be her mom.  Jordan has always had a heart for animals since she was teeny tiny and I know she is going to be such a good momma.  So far they seem pretty happy together!
Time for this boy to get his annual eye exam.  I so wish he would wear contacts but he just has not been able to figure them out.  Thankfully his regular glasses were still in super shape so we replaced the lenses and then invested in some prescription Oakleys for baseball.
Wednesday was so long!!  I had meetings throughout the day and then left work to head to a strategic planning meeting for our local foodbank which lasted until almost 9:15.
At least there was plenty of chocolate but I did have to wonder about this one rejected jolly rancher!
Thursday was one of my very favorites as I ventured over to see my hair stylist, Karly.  She has been doing my hair since just after Dillon was born and after 13+ years we have become such great friends.  I love sharing life with her even if it’s only every 6 weeks.  My hair has been grabbing orange so here we go making it all dark again.  Hopefully I can make it not being blonde for awhile.
Dillon loves to text me just before lunch and ask for lunch.  Rarely does this work out but Friday I was free enough (and hungry enough myself) to oblige.  I love leaving him notes on his food just to make sure he EVERYONE knows his mom delivered!
And how do I eat healthy at Chick-Fil-A?  I order the 8 piece grilled with a side salad.  I always get the lite Italian dressing but rarely do I ever even need it.
Friday night Carly & I facetimed with Jordan so we could see little Pesto in “person”.   Jordan wanted a few days alone to bond with her first before we meet her.  Hopefully this is just for a dog as she surely understands I WILL be in the delivery room someday right?!!

Saturday morning our first stop was the school district art show.  Carly was super excited to show me her Op Art Hallway piece.

Isn’t her little art teacher just the cutest?  Art is one of Carly’s favorite classes for sure.
Such a pleasure watching this one grow into his own.  I really do think baseball will end up being his favorite sport but for now I’m glad he is still playing football too.

After a full day at the ballpark I finally made it for a much overdue pedicure.  I’ve been using OPI Mod About You for a really long time and decided I needed a little change.

Here’s a look at the finished product.  A little bluer than I expected but I’m thinking it was a perfect change.

Came home to find these girls sopping wet washing the car.  I’m sure they asked Keith and he was watching the tv and was like sure whatever.  haha
My little brother pointed me in the direction of this little gem while we chatted Saturday.  I always love finding little snippets like this online.  Always cracks me up to see what they have to say. I settled in Saturday night to listen….and y’all it’s killing me to just be able to listen….to Riley come in to pitch.  Every pitcher has their days and he has been having some great ones but Saturday night as well as he did pitch he gave up some hits that cost the team the win.  The announcers actually said “well, seeing Ferrell be the most mortal he’s been all season”.  Haha…that makes me laugh.  And that’s baseball…..it is definitely a sport that can really test your heart.

Sunday was another day at the ballpark and Carly’s friend Holden tagged along again.  The park Dillon has been playing at is just so darn nice and we had a nice walk through the nature trails.

And Dutch thought the pond was the bomb diggity!  He just loves going to the ballpark.
If you are following along on SnapChat (which my oldest son says I’m “killing” btw) then you saw my little healthy ballpark lunch.  Super excited to be having again today!  If you are a snapchatter you can find me at queeninbetween1.

The boys had a little devotional and prayer time this afternoon after a long break between games.  I really do love being part of a team that grows boys into men not just ballplayers.

I ended my Sunday being served a perfectly cheesy grilled cheese sandwich by the hubs.  I seriously could have eaten two of these.  But did I??

Lastly, here are the looks from my Instagram that were April favorites based on likes!  I really do just love getting dressed every day!

The coming week is Carly’s dance recital and I figure we will celebrate after with some Mexican since it’s on Cinco de Mayo!  We will see how everyone is feeling at the end of the night.  Mama may need a drink.

And don’t forget to come join the linkup party hosted by my friend Katy and myself!  First linkup is Tuesday, May 3rd so join us as we post about our best (or worst) Mother’s Day gifts!

  10. Looks like a wonderful week, and love how you take so many pics of the everyday moments. Jordan looks so happy with Pesto in her arms. I loved having a pet back when I was single…perfect company. Grace has to wear her glasses all the time now, and she doesn't want to try contacts. Wish she would, but don't want to push the issue!

  13. I definitely think this is a great step for Jordan. She recently had a relationship fall apart and I think she was really thinking this could be "the one". I'm praying for her future husband and for her to work on becoming the woman he's looking for in the mean time!!!
