The Queen’s Chronicles

·
Our first full week of summer is in the books!  Carly had a great week staying with some others her age at a private home with a sitter.  She was able to swim almost every day and already has a great tan!  Dillon had several sleepovers and a fairly relaxed week.  Evidently I took the week off too and didn’t bust out my “big” camera even once.  Sadly the quality of these pictures isn’t the greatest but the memories were much clearer!

Dillon stayed the night over at my friend Holly’s on Sunday night to hang with his bestie.  I had to crack up when she sent me this picture Monday morning. Evidently the couch just wasn’t comfortable enough.

Tuesday night I had a workshop after work and was super excited to grab this sparkling water….until I tasted it.  PSA….not worth trying.

Now this stuff I would definitely recommend!  We use this when roasting veggies.

Summer would not be summer without silliness and late night Sonic runs!
Thursday night Carly said goodbye to her bestie for a few weeks.  She is off to visit her grandparents in California!  So exciting.
National donut day required a stop by Shipley’s before dropping this girl off for the day.
And when it’s summer you get to join mom for happy hour at your favorite restaurant!
You think Dillon is self conscious about his height??  These boys spent the entire afternoon at the pool.  I can’t believe they will be starting high school!!
I finally opened up the Nordstrom box that arrived on Thursday from the half yearly sale.  Decisions, decisions.  Obviously when I’m not feeling my best up top I focus on the feet!

Saturday morning we decided to try a new place for brunch only they save that for Sundays only!

We decided to dine off the regular menu regardless and it was yummy.  Great burgers and perfectly cheesy fries.

Then we loaded up and headed off for baseball!  We love that we can take Dutch along.

Seriously y’all….I took this picture not 5 minutes later!  I wish I could fall asleep like this.

This park is owned by the school district in Franklin, Texas and it has great walking trails and a pond perfect for exploring.  I’m so glad Dutch does so well off the leash when we are there and he’s able to have a little “free” time.

Shortly after we finished our walk a huge storm passed through and even though we were under cover we got soaked.  These baseball sisters made the best of it with a game of fish!

The best baseball dog!  He really does fit just perfectly into our family!

On Sunday the boys headed back to baseball and I drove down to my hometown to have a late lunch celebrating my nephew’s graduation from college.  Carly packed her bags and is staying with my mom this week!  The boys arrived home and we grilled up some chicken and veggies and called it a weekend!
Other than that it’s pretty much just been regional baseball on TV for us!  I’m not gonna lie….it’s looking like a match up between TCU and Texas A&M again and this year in College Station and I could not be happier to NOT have a dog in the fight!!

Wishing you all a super week!

  1. Lady, you had a superb week and weekend! That is great 🙂 Glad your littles are enjoying their first week in. We start our break on Friday of this week. Woo hoo!

  2. I've tried probably every brand of sparkling flavored water don't like any of them ! Tell me about those lucky wedges…they've been in my cart forever but I haven't ordered them…the reviews were so mixed. I love the height for my "first pair of wedges". Let me know about the sizing ! Have a great week

  3. So many people have been raving about that Dasani water – I need to try it!! Look at all those great pairs of shoes – I hope you're keeping the ALL!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  4. Hey Kimm….I took them to my mom this weekend to try in her size and she loved them but they were too snug across the tie and I don't think they will stretch. I didn't even try mine…I loved those mustard yellow ones so much I didn't even give the Lucky's a second look.

  5. Dutch Buddy is so good off his leash. Albie would be all over the place, running as fast as he could and getting into trouble. Thanks for the tip on the sparkling water. I have been wanting to switch from diet coke, but don't think that would work. Maybe the Aquafina you mentioned. Look how long Dillon's legs are! Looks like a great start to the summer.

  6. Girl…Dutch is a total momma's boy!! He will wander just a bit but as soon as I get to far away he's running back. 🙂 I would like to say it's annoying but I secretly love it. I actually bought perrier pink grapefruit this past week and I really like it. While I love sweet treats, I don't actually have to have sweet drinks. The carbonation is enough to trick me into thinking I'm having a soft drink. Dillon is ALL legs…totally built just like my dad. Hope you guys have a super week!

  7. What a fun week – and so many cute pictures of Dutch!!! We MUST find a time to get together this week!!!

  8. What a great weekend! I kind of feel the same about La Croix. I recently bought some coconut and it seems like i am just drinking sun tan lotion, lololol.

  9. I love coming to your space on Mondays and catching up….yay Dutch…he's so cute!! So happy the kids are starting their Summer off great!! Serious shoe swoon…can't wait to see which ones you keep!! Hope your Monday has been great so far!!

  10. What a great weekend! You always have the best weekends, and your kids are just the cutest. So glad that Carly can go stay with her grandparents, I'm not sure how I would do with my kids gone that long, hehe 🙂 How far away do they live?

  11. What a fun weekend. You did so much! I find that if we are too busy on the weekend, it makes for a rough start to our week so we tend to be busier on Friday and Saturday and take it easy after church on Sunday.
