The Queen’s Chronicles
Spring is nuts for us and somehow it’s almost May 1st and I’m still trying to be in control! We only have 4 more weeks of school and realizing that this morning gives me a little hope we can do this!
Here’s a little peak at our past week.
We had our last week of district baseball and it was an exciting one! We headed into the week tied for the 2nd place spot and going head to head with the number one team who had not lost a game all season. Y’all, in 2 very exciting games we beat them TWICE! It was a pretty huge deal because we were tied for 2nd with our crosstown rival and by winning both were able to secure 2nd outright. We start playoffs this week!
We busted Rocky out of the Vet hospital and found him a place to stay. It is not my intention to keep this baby but Carly Jo is still holding out hope so we have still been going to visit. He really is cute especially after he finished eating and bucks around his pen.
Yep, this has been around forever and I’m just now trying it out. I’d say if you like the flavor of garlic and onion you will love this stuff. We don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby but I was finally able to order this 3 pack on Amazon but haven’t tried the other two yet.
The artwork I ordered finally arrived! Until they shipped I had zero clue it was coming all the way from Israel so now I feel all fancy as an owner of some international art. 🙂 I absolutely love how these prints turned out! They are neutral enough but pull in just the right amount of color. Hoping to do a full bedroom update reveal this week!
This guy….I like to think he’s the serious one but my family quickly reminds me I fill that role. I mean I just needed one shot for my instagram!!
Carly and I headed to watch two of her dance buddies perform in their first Strutter Showcase on Saturday night. Carly’s goal is to make the Strutter drill team in high school.
We saw the signs up everywhere for this years parade of homes so after church Carly Jo and I headed out to walk through a few. We were loving all the modern bathtubs for sure.
And seriously this shower would be a dream!
If I decide to have our spa tub ripped out I’m fairly confident I will do something similar to this one.
So many fun floors! Updating the floors in our kitchen and baths will probably be our next home project. Balancing out the things I would like to do with what adds value is always tricky as it’s very possible in 5 years we will be selling this home and moving on.
I was so excited to pull back in the driveway and see all the flowerbeds remulched. I don’t know about you but having my house have a little curb appeal definitely makes me feel much happier as I arrive home each day!
And what do you do after looking at gorgeous, perfectly staged, modern homes? Well I came straight home and decided to organize my closet! As you can see I truly believe the first step in doing it right is pulling every single item out of the closet! I didn’t even notice my sweet grandpup we are sitting for was in the picture! Thankfully she didn’t get lost!
If you head to my stories you can see whether or not I was able to accomplish the closet reorg, I’ll give you a hint, getting dressed today will be much less stress than it has been lately!
Thankfully I married a man who can cook! He headed to the grocery store all on his own either because he was really hungry or my closet mess was stressing him out too! Regardless, he cooked up steak and pork chops along with veggies on the grill and it was amazing!
This week includes a National Charity League meeting, two dance recital nights and at least 2 playoff baseball games on top of just regular life. Did I mention prom is Saturday?!! Wish us luck!
Hope you all have an amazing week!
