The Queen’s Chronicles 02.17.20

Well I am definitely waking up on Monday wondering where in the heck my weekend went! It definitely went by in a sweet flash. Thankfully the kids are out of school until Wednesday so maybe we will be able to catch up a bit on household chores.

Carly Jo & I traveled to the Austin area for her first full dance competition this weekend. It is always so fun to see the dances performed for the very first time. I was so overcome with emotion watching her in the first two. The first was a lyrical performance which she has never participated in before and she just looked so beautiful up there on that stage. She has grown so very much as a dancer in the last few years and her hard work was reflected.

The 2nd dance was musical theatre set to Meeting in the Ladies Room. I’m not sure where I was in the 80’s y’all because everyone I know remembers this song but me! It was super cute.

As a whole her dance studo was the top scoring studio for the entire event and they were so excited! Such a sweet time with sweet friends. This week she will have a mock tryout for drill team before the real tryouts next month. I can hardly believe this girl is going to high school next year!!

Lots of amazing sales going on for Presidents Day and I’ve snagged a few things I’ve been eyeing like this blazer. My daughter Jordan was wearing it recently with jeans and a white tee and it was just so darling. The color definitey makes it work for most of the year. So far, Loft has been my only order but I’ve got a cart waiting on my at J. Crew so we will see if I pull the trigger.
