Stitch Fix – Summer Style
It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared a fix with you and thought today I’d give you a peak at the summer style fixes I’ve received.
Stitch Fix is a fun option to find pieces I might not otherwise even try on or choose for myself. Many times I receive items I won’t see just anywhere and I love having a piece no one else is wearing now and again. I don’t know about you but some brands just fit my body better than others so I love trying new brands I may have never heard of before.
So if you have never used Stitch Fix, this service matches your style profile with a stylist, you choose your delivery date and for a $20 styling fee a box with 5 items arrives at your doorstep. The style profile is critical! And if you see someone receiving fixes you love, don’t hesitate to ask for the name of their stylist and request for yourself on your next fix. YES…you can do that! I had no clue but it really did change the joy arriving in my fix!
In order for me to keep and item it must 1) Fit well (obviously) and 2)Work well with items already in my closet. If I’m going to spend a little more on these pieces I need them to be versatile and work for the office, date night, girls night out, etc. The best part is returning the items I don’t want is super easy with the prepaid shipping bag.
The Stitch Fix app now allows me to preview the items I’m receiving and I go back and forth on whether I want to know or be surprised when the box arrives. Regardless, I love I can now provide screenshots for my readers so you can see more details about the item as well as the cost. You do have an opportunity to choose the price range for items in your fix while creating your profile as well as give some feedback on the cost during the checkout/return process.
Let’s take a look and see what I loved, what I kept and why!
I really wanted to love this top! The color and pattern were both positives and I have plenty I could pair with this top across multiple seasons. The fit was just a little off for me and I wasn’t super crazy about the material. Returned.
Such a fun pattern and a fit for this top and, again, would work with multiple other pieces in my closet and across seasons. Oddly enough the red was just a little off for my coloring and I didn’t love it 100%. Returned.
I have nothing in a fun pattern like this and was thrilled with the colors of this top. So much fun! It has been dressed up for work, down with shorts, works super with white jeans and will easily transition with a jacket for fall. Keeper!
Okay, looking at this dress now I may have a teeny bit of regret. Such fun colors and a flattering fit but for a maxi dress I really wasn’t crazy about the length on me. I prefer to wear heels most of the time and just felt it was too long for a midi but not long enough for the maxi look I love. I love the slit and it was super flattering. Returned.
This maxi, however, was a huge win! I love everything about it; the neckline, the colors and the overall fit. Definitely a keeper!
So what do you think? Did I make the right choice with this fix?
