Spring Style Try On – TBB Linkup

This past weekend Carly Jo attended her first dance convention which left me with time to actually shop a few favorite stores and actually try on a few things.  I logged 12K steps on day one and tried on quite a few things and today I’m showing you a few of the favorites.

So here’s the deal, these are straight out of the phone pictures and quality is pretty awful.  Kudos to all the fashion bloggers who do this all the time and have crisp quality photos of your try on session.  I suck at taking mirror selfies too!  However, if you can get past these two issues, I think seeing the clothes on a real person actually gives you a better idea of what they would look like for you.

Note, I am 5’7″ tall and currently wear a size 8-10, typically a medium top and size 29-30 waist pant depending on the brand.

Actually came home with this soft sweatshirt and showed it off yesterday on the blog.  It’s a great weight for Texas and perfect for an athleisure look but the bell sleeves make it versatile enough to dress up a bit too.

I’m loving the layered look of this long sleeve tee along with the arm detail.  It was a little pricey for a tee for me but I will be watching this one.  I just felt like it had a little something extra!  Plus it comes in several colors.

Same for this top.  I love, love, love it but just wasn’t quite ready to jump in for the price.  I love the slight puckered sleeves and the layering and it too comes in several colors.  I’ll definitely want this great coral!  I did come home with these jeans but am still deciding if I’m 100% sold after also ordering a pair from Loft.

I’m only so strong friends and this camo shirt I paid full price for!  Not sad about it at all and I’ve already worn once to work and once out for date night.  It is a linen blend with roll tab sleeves and I feel like it will be great for fall and winter layered under a sweater or jacket but it will also look perfect with shorts or a skirt for the warmer months.

I’ve heard about this denim jacket for literally years but have never grabbed it since I have two in my closet in perfect condition.  Trouble is I never wear either because they are stiff and uncomfortable.  This one is so soft and stretchy and I’m so trying to justify it!

I have zero reason to purchase a dress like this but gosh I wish I did!  It is so cute and such a great color!  I loved it!  I am between and 8-10 in dresses right now and definitely had to size up to the 10 to zip this sucker.

Sunday fun day would be so much brighter with this fun tee right?

I settled for this pocket tee which is so soft and under $20.  I did try these white jeans without even looking at the price.  Of course they fit well but, ummm….no thank you.

I also ran through Loft and if I could justify any more camo in my life I would have totally snagged this cropped jacket!  It is super cute and would look adorable paired with some white jeans.

I had to have this top after seeing Jen wear it all week. It is more of a lightweight sweater material instead of a tshirt fabric and it is just cute as can be.  I can’t wait to wear it to spring training next week with some orange shorts (go Astros!).

And this precious little top was out of stock in a medium in the store so I tried on the small just for sizing.  I am in love with the colors and had them order a medium for me which should be here soon!  And these are the jeans I’m considering as well but had to have them order my size.

I also tried on these denim shorts and they did not have my size in the store so I’m ordering but ain’t nobody interested in seeing my pasty white legs at this point in time! I did not see this pair of bermuda shorts in the store but am curious to see them in person.

I’m really trying to be patient with the new spring items popping out in stores until I’ve fully purged and reorganized my closet.  It has been so dreary and rainy and I was just itching for some new things.  The pieces I brought home were just right!

Have you been shopping in store lately?  Typically I’m much more satisfied by trying items on at home because I’m 100% sure all the stores have trick mirrors.  ha!
