Show and Tell – Way to My Heart
It’s another Show & Tell Tuesday with Andrea at Momfessionals and today I’m dishing on the quickest way to my heart!
I’m a pretty simple girl really and it doesn’t take too much to make me happy! If someone is paying attention they will know the way to my heart lies in flowers, sweet words and helpful acts of service.
I’m a sucker for fresh flowers and this time of year tulips are my absolute favorite! I would take any fresh flowers, even plain old carnations. Fresh flowers just brighten up a room and make me happy. I really do not want my flowers delivered from the florist but instead prefer them to show up along with one of my favorite people.
Who doesn’t love to hear they are special? The very simplest little note from a guy who isn’t very big on writing stuff down can pretty much win me over every time. I carry this around in my wallet as a daily reminder when satan tries to slip in and point out all his faults.
Acts of service….yep my love language and a straight shot right to my heart! Anytime someone does something for me (without me nagging) that ultimately will save me time and offer me more time to spend chilling with my family or even some special me time it means so much. Cook me dinner, fold the laundry, bathe the kids…pretty much anything that gives me a little break.
Even something this sweet and simple…my girl having my coffee ready in the morning so I don’t have to take extra time to do it. Bonus points for the sweet note!
Lastly, I absolutely love surprises! Big ones, little ones; for me all that matters is the thought that counts! If someone has taken the time to surprise me with something special and they have truly paid attention to know what those special things are it really does mean so much! My friend Holly is definitely one of the best at doing these kinds of things and she definitely knows McDonalds coffee trumps Starbucks for me any day!
My heart is big and easy to fill! What fills your heart?

Love this! And, I can't see tulips without thinking about you!
After reading some of the others linked up I'm thinking I kind of missed the que on this one lol. Love me some tulips though
My fave treat is chocolate covered cherries! I love when my hubby surprises me with them 🙂
Totally acts of service! I also keep his notes in special places so I can find them over and over again!
Quality time is mine. I especially like when the quality time is made to be a surprise!
This post is so sweet and again, I see we have much in common. I am easily pleased as well and little notes and acts of kindness find my heart being happy as well. I love your idea of carrying a little note from your man with you to fend off satan during times of struggle.
Acts of service, your love language. I can see how Holly and you make such good friends. I bet she loves on you fiercely. This was such a fun post to read. Here's to a wonderful Valentine's Day filled with flowers, coffee and lots of "breaks." Thanks for linking with us today on Tuesday Talk. Love having you each week! 🙂
Right? She definitely knows how to fill my cup Michelle!! Have a super week.
We definitely do have lots in common Tanya! Have a super day.

Confessions of a Frumpy Mommy
Seriously…..knowing the love language is a relationship saver. Now…if my husband will ever realize this means I want him doing the acts of service instead of just receiving them we might get somewhere. Haha
that's the key, having them actually work with YOUR love language lol
Andrea from Cloud Nine wrote a similar post a few days ago and I loved it. I agree with you about the small gestures being the best one. Also your hug in a mug giveaway idea was the best. You should check out my February Currently post for a similar post.
Hey Ada! I am so behind on reading blogs!! This is my busy time at my "real" job which really gets in the way. Hoping over now!
