Show and Tell Tuesday – Who’s Coming to Dinner

·
Today I’m joining Andrea for her Show & Tell series and talking about the 5 guests I would invite to a dinner party!  So much fun and really hard to choose as there are so many darn interesting people out there!  Here is what I’ve put together.

{TERRY BRADSHAW}

That’s right, Terry Bradshaw not to be confused with Carrie Bradshaw of Sex in the City although he & Sarah Jessica Parker did star in a movie together.  I was a HUGE Steelers fan for some unknown reason when I was young.  I even asked for a Steelers jersey for Christmas one year when I was just like eight.  I loved him as a quarterback but once he became an announcer I loved him even more.  He’s knowledgeable about the game but so funny too and really borderline crazy I think.  When he bared his backside in Failure to Launch it sealed the deal for me and I became a Terry Bradshaw groupie forever!  I figure he would be able to talk sports with the men but keep things rolling with some one liners.

{REESE WITHERSPOON}

Not that she needs any explanation!  She is beautiful and I love her fashion sense.  We share some similarities in that we both married young and had a couple of kids, divorced and then remarried with more children (or in her case one).  I would love to sit and chat with her about mom life and how she balances it all.

{JASE ROBERTSON}

He’s my very favorite of the Robertson clan because he reminds me the most of Keith.  Some of the things I’ve heard him say could have come straight out of Keith’s mouth so I definitely need him there to keep the hubby occupied talking about hunting while I’m chatting up Terry, Reese and of course this next guy.

{GEORGE STRAIT}

Oh George!  I’m not sure I’ve ever seen another entertainer be so..well entertaining and not have to do a darn thing but smile, wear a cowboy hat and sing.  Oh…and fit perfectly in a pair of Wrangler jeans. I’m sure I would request he play us a few tunes and I would swoon!

{KATE WINSLET}

Is it just me or does every dinner party need a guest with an accent?  I just love Kate Winslet ever since Titanic. She’s beautiful and embrace her curves and I could just sit and listen to her talk.
Of course not really sure they would all be thrilled with the backyard bbq we would likely be throwing but I’m sure we would have a blast!
Farmgirl Paints cuff shop is currently open September 14th – November 2nd and I can just think of a few of the cuffs that would come from this party!

  1. Whell. First of all, I'm really surprised about the Terry Bradshaw man crush thing. You know he played college ball like 30 miles from me. He comes back to visit from time to time. As for Jase, he lives in the same town as I do. And that's all I'm gonna say about that. Reese would probably be in my top 5, too!

  2. I almost put Reese Witherspoon. She. Is. Amazing. What a great idea to add one of the Robertson clan. They would be fun! Also, that baseball is my season bracelet is a total must-have. Love it!

  3. George Strait – that is one hot cowboy! And Duck Dynasty, well you can't just invite him without all those boys. A favorite in our household every Wednesday. Even the women are interesting. Sadie girl is a sweetheart, especially now that she has danced on Dancing With The Stars!

    1. She is just such an icon for beauty and style and she seems so "real". I definitely have an accent…but not one that would necessarily be coveted at a dinner party! ha!

  4. When I saw the picture that came up on the link-up I just knew you had to be a Texas girl – we all just love George Strait, don't we?! And I couldn't agree more – he just sings and looks good and we all swoon. Ha! First time checking out your blog, and I love it!!

    1. Not sure there will ever be another George! Saw him in Houston on his last tour and he was just as amazing as he was when I saw him in the 90's!
      So glad you stopped by! Texas girls can always find a way to connect!

    1. Right JulieAnn? I saw George in Houston a few years back on his last tour. We had seats 3 rows from the stage and he was just as amazing as he was the first time I saw him in the 80's.
