Seasonal Joy – Five on Friday

I don’t know about you but I’m right in the spot I find myself every year about this time. While I don’t feel super stressed at the moment, the list of things I need to accomplish before December 25th is looming.  That fact alone has me feeling anxious about the anxiety I know I’m going to feel by next Friday!  So ridiculous and it’s the same every single year so at least I’m never surprised by this. Ha!

No special post prepared today, instead I’m sharing a few things which have brought me a little seasonal joy this past week.  And when I say joy I mean a few of these have made me laugh so hard I cried!  Hope you are feeling joy this Friday but if not I hope these funnies give you at minute to set aside whatever is running like an psycho elf around in your head and allows you a good laugh.

Y’all, I could watch this over and over and every time I cry laughing because THIS IS ME!  When I sent this to my kids they all responded with some individual quote back.  Also, be warned….watching his You Tube videos might help you lose a few hours because they are all hilarious.

I’m sure you have seen this quote one place or another and I truly need to post it around my house!

One of my fave songs and Christmas karaoke?  This video is several years old but it just makes me so happy and I’ve pulled it up multiple times this season.

I don’t know about y’all but seeing the joy on my kids face when they open up a gift I had convinced them there was no way they would receive is always the most fun.  This definitely gets trickier as they get older!

Holiday Home Tour 2018

Lastly, my holiday home brings me some joy this time of year!  I put timers on my trees so when I wake up in the morning and come home in the evening they are already on.  It makes me so happy!  You can see the full Holiday Home tour and link up your own.

I hope whatever brings you joy this time of year you are seeking it out!  In past years I struggled with not feeling joyful and many times it was because I was waiting for joy to come to me!  Don’t be that person I promise it will leave you having a blue Christmas.  You can create your joy and find it in unexpected places.

Every so often I scroll back through old blog posts and come across a gem to share.  If you struggle with the giving and receiving of gifts you might want to check out Finding Joy in Giving.  It was a sweet reminder to me today as well.

Wishing you all a weekend full of seasonal joy!  Hope you find a little something to celebrate.
