Royally Waiting (Link-up #4)

· ·

I’m slightly in denial that it is already Wednesday y’all!  I may have a warped sense of time, or maybe just a warped sense of what I can actually get done in any amount of time.  Holly, Katy and I hope you will stop and make some time to link up with us today for Royally Waiting!  Feel free to use some of the prompts we have provided to get things rolling or choose your own.

As you can hopefully see, I am no longer waiting for my new blog design!!!  What an amazing surprise this morning to login and see it up and running.  I hope you will be patient with me as I learn this new platform!  If you are receiving my posts directly each day via email you will more than likely need to sign up again with the handy link at the bottom.  Thanks!!

Cleaning out closets and pantries!  It’s so crazy how fast things can become cluttered isn’t it?  I shared my pantry before and after the last time I tackles the mess and this time I actually pulled everything out and started with a clean slate.  I still have a kitchen full of crap but really think this time will be even better organized than before.  Our pantry is really big but very deep and things can start getting lost easily.  The top shelf is more shallow but there is a ton of vertical space to the ceiling.  I’m hoping to use sterilite containers with lids to pack up some seasonal items to make them more accessible than putting into the attic.  I picked up a few more clear bins and used them in a more efficient and brighter space and I really think it will make a difference. The round lazy turntables I added in 2015 are still my favorite addition, they just needed a little more functionality this time.
Burning this lovely candle from Twine & Cotton.  I ordered Stars Hollow for a friend as a gift and decided to try a 3 pack of minis for myself.  So far this one is so good!
Eating a yummy crock pot brisket.  It the midst of the kitchen chaos I managed to put a brisket in the crockpot using this recipe and it was so good!  We ate atop slider buns topped with cabbage slaw  and dill pickles.  It was a sure crowd pleaser.
Watching digital clips of the VHS home movies I sent to Legacy Box and having so much fun!  I sent my 2nd box back on Tuesday with 40 pieces of media to convert.  The process was super easy and I’m so excited to have these memories preserved.
Wearing this little skirt from Loft while it was still incredibly spring last week!  Of course now it’s a tad bit chilly again so I’m all about the t-shirt + cardigan and some leggings.  ‘

  2. EEEEKKKK! Your new design looks BEAUTIFUL!!! Love it! I need to get back in pantry and give it a cleaning/organizing. I love when it’s all neat and tidy. Your clear plastic bins make everything look so organized. I have lazy Susans all over the place. Pantry, fridge, under cabinets…they are awesome. Have so much fun on your girls trip. I remember thinking how fun that would be after you shared your last one. Great idea!

    1. Thank you Lisa! I’m super excited but have so much to learn. Finally have my kitchen put back together and my family is tired of me asking them to come take a look at the pantry. 🙂

    1. We had so much fun Katie! I’m dreading tomorrow after a full 9 days off. I’m sure it will be so long!!

  6. Oh, I want some brisket! Used to make it all the time but it is so expensive here now. And I have to buy it in this huge half-a-cow amount at the commissary. But it is so good!!!

Somehow I missed that darling Loft skirt. So glad you had a taste of spring so you could wear it. Hope spring comes back around for good very soon.

    1. Leslie I grabbed this brisket recently only because they had a really small one available. I don’t get the expensive price either…seems like it’s not really like top cut yet it’s pricier than most cuts. I am positive the Loft skirt is going to continue to be a big hit!

    1. Thanks so much Lanae! I am kind of a fish out of the water with WP at the moment but hoping I pick it up quickly!
