Red, White, Blue & YOU

Last year my Style Six sisters and I had so much fun sharing a little red, white and blue with YOU that we decided it was worth repeating! We are sharing a little inspiration to get you ready for the big weekend ahead because even if our July 4th may not look the same, we can still be festive even at home!

So grab your favorite July 4th post and linkup with us!

Summer sundress

It’s so hot here in Texas and a lightweight sundress is defintiely the way to beat the heat. I love this fun red, white and blue pattern and it can easily convert for work with a denim jacket.

I fell in love with this tee when Kellyann first showed it off so I was excited to find it at our local Old Navy after not seeing it online. I’ve linked several other options perfect for July 4th.

And speaking of Kellyann, they are hard to see but I was so excited when these fun earrings arrived in the mail! They will be perfect to add flair to my July 4th look.

Home Decor - Red, White & Blue

The front of our house has needed some love for some time and I’ve recently been inspired. We have a long wall and sidewalk leading up to the front door and it’s just always looked a little barren. I found this benchwhich fit the space perfectly but it definitely looked sad all by iteself. Amazon for the win for pillow covers and outdoor pillow inserts. I ordered this blue gingham check because I felt like it will be easy to coordinate across seasons and I’m loving how this turned out with the patriotic pillow cover.

Thank goodness for this pillow too because I never got around to any decor on the inside of the house! Patriotic decor is typically one of my favorites and as a big baseball family I typically incorporate baseballs into the theme. You can see my home decor from last year and pretend my house looks like this now too!

Summer Cocktail

If you are bored with your cocktails, here is a fun idea I grabbed from Biana at B Loved Boston. I’m not a huge rose’ or white wine fan but received several bottles for my birthday. When I saw her mix frozen mangos with rose I decided I needed to give it a whirl and it was so darn good! Yesterday I decided to give watermelon a try with a bottle of skinny girl white wine and it was refreshing but the fresh fruit made it a little frothy. I definitely think the trick is using frozen vs fresh fruit to get a good frozen drink texture without watering it down with crushed ice.

And of course our very own Andrea has been sharing lots of yumi cocktails with her Yeti bartender series on You Tube so if cocktails are your fancy you should check that out.

Now grab some Red, White & Blue inspiration and join the fun!
