Prime Finds October
Am I the only one who is so excited when an Amazon box shows up because often I can’t remember what the heck I ordered! I try to be (mostly) intentional with my purchases but Amazon makes it so easy to ship and return that I often willing to try things I might be otherwise not apt to order. Here are a few items I’ve snagged over the last month that I’m loving.
This strainer basket has been a favorite purchase since it arrived! It fits handily in the corner of the sink and has a suction cup to hold it in place. I soak our berries in vinegar and water for 5 minutes or so and then toss into the basket to drain.
I’m a sucker for a new kitchen tool that looks handy but isn’t necesarrily necessary, ha! This is one of those tools! I have loved the avocado slicer to cut the avocado in half, easily remove the seed and then create perfect slices. You do need to use with a firmer rather than super ripe avocado or all you will get is smashed avocado. It would make a fun stocking stuffer if you have grown up kids!
We do alot of cooking at home and since focusing on lowering the sodium in our meals we are adding alot more peppers, onions and such to spice things up. Our cutting boards were looking pretty rough so when I saw this 3 pack of cutting boards during prime days I decided to give them a shot. Keith has given them his approval and I like having the different sizes.
The sofa in our front room is in front of a window and it is Dutch’s favorite spot to sit and watch (or bark at) people walking by. The problem was every time he pounces on the couch it would slide. It drove me nuts to see the sofa pinned against the wall and the curtains but I had tried multiple non skid pads in the past with no luck. These Gorilla Non Slip Pads have worked!! The couch is staying put and I feel like I’ve won a major battle ha!
My friend Andrea purchased these mesh pouches in an effort to make better use of her space in the game cabinet. This was a total impulse buy for me after seeing how she used them so I’m looking for creative ways I can use them in the bathroom, the closet and the car.
Now that summer is over, it is time to get my feet ready to hibernate. I used one of these foot masks back in May while we were still working from home and I was so impressed. It is oddly satisfying to see that dead skin peeling away to reveal your baby feet! It does come in a 2 pack and if you have lots of calouses you will probably need to use both. This also makes a really great stocking stuffer in my opinion!
I’m waiting for a really big order of organizational items to arrive this week. My pantry has gotten a little out of control again and I’m going to work on whipping it back into shape! I’ve also ordered my first Christmas gift and think I need to work adding more items to the list.
Are you using Amazon more than ever or taking a break from shopping?
