Prime Finds – Macro Friendly Finds

·

For the last year I have been working a plan to add more protein into my daily intake and while I do eat carbs every single day, I still opt for some low carb options for some meals. I thought I would share a few items I’ve either tried or just recently found that I plan to incorporate into my week.

I’m linking up with Tanya at The Other Side of the Road for her monthy Prime Finds linkup!

The best deal I have found on this Catalina Crunch cereal has been at Costco. Carly Jo has eaten this straight up with milk as cereal but I have opted to use it mixed with my :ratio yogurt. Combining the two together starts my day with 36 grams of protein! It has also made a really great snack. I love that it adds a crunch and this cinnamon flavor is tasty. I tried the chocolate peanut butter as well and was not a fan.

I struggle with getting enough fiber each day so this also helped me in that area. I do love that it uses Stevia and monk fruit for the sweetener but there is just the slightest bit of an after taste but I only notice that if I eat it by itself.

I’ve shared this before but :Ratio yogurt is my favorite for high protein yogurt option. It is not always easy to find, but I did see that Target is apparently carrying it now. I purchase at HEB here in Texas but know in smaller towns I have not seen it available. I mix this with either steel cut oatmeal or the catalina crunch cereal for an easy high protein breakfast to start my day.

I love using cauliflower rice during the week for my lunches at work. Adding some grilled chicken or lean ground beef makes an easy meal. I picked up this stir fry at Costco yesterday and I’m excited to try it out. We also grabbed Carly Jo some Acai bowls from this same brand. The website has so many different items and I’m really thinking I may have to explore some other items.

These Outer Aisle sandwich thins are also an item I’ve seen posted in my macro group so I thought I’d give them a try. I’m thinking of making little pizzas using turkey pepperoni, pineapple and some homemade pizza sauce.

These Cut Da Carb flatbreads are my favorite to make quesadillas with whatever leftover meat I may have on hand. They crisp up so nicely and have a great taste. Sometimes if I need a quick chip and salsa fix, I will cut them up, sprinkle with either salt or Tajin and a spray of Avocado oil and crisp up in the oven. While they are pricey, they keep really well in the freezer so I have made sure to order multiple at a time as the price is better the more you order.

Just a few items I’m trying! What are you eating lately that you are loving?
