Prime Finds – August
With back to school at our house usually also comes back to routine, a little self care and a little organizing as we swap out summer for fall. Apparently my Amazon cart reflects this too and I’m sharing the items arriving over the last month even though I missed linking up with Tanya for her prime purchases linkup last week.
So many of the items purchased in August were made in a mad rush to grab things for Dillon’s dorm room and would have been great to share, oh, maybe back in June as others prepared to pack their college freshman! I’ll spare you all but the storage bags which are honestly just incredibly handy. They come in a pack of 4 and hold so much stuff! We literally rolled up with a refrigerator and 4 of these bags stuff full which definitely made it easier since parents were not allowed into the dorm. I’m using at home to store off season throw pillows but can see these being so usual packing for a road trip or family vacation.
One thing I for sure do not excel in is drinking enough water. My trainers recently showed up with a Bottled Joy water jug and I decided I’d give it a go. At first I ordered the full gallon but, in reality, I needed a jug to keep at work and no way am I getting the full gallon in between 8-5. Dillon took the gallon back to school with him and I ordered the 75oz jug for the office. I can fill this up at the beginning of the workday and the time marker helps me stay focused on drinking enough during the day. I ordered some fun stickers from Addyson Layne Designs to dress it up! Her stickers make everything more fun!
Speaking of making everything better, I ran across Kendra Adachi on The Next Right Thing podcast one morning and immediately hit add to cart on her new book! I’m excited to read The Lazy Genius and see what tips I might be able to implement in my spiraling life! The biggest take away I had so far is to identify those things I can just decided on once. For me, making sure to meal plan and have one trip to the grocery store each week is a huge deal and it reminded me to stop procrastinating something I could just do once!
Face masks have never really been a part of my regular rotation but when I started using the Charcoal Mask from Beautycounter all that changed. Even the smell of this mask makes me excited to use it. Last week I decided it was time to up my game and grab some face mask silicone brushes for application. How fun would one of these be paired with a face mask as a gift for a friend? These came in a pack of 12 so I’m totally thinking I’ll be adding some face masks to my cart and have gifts checked off for some of my girlfriends.
It was also time to restock the Tinkle Razors I use to do a little at home dermaplaning. I had zero clue how much peach fuzz I had on my face until I used one of these the first time. Now I’m obsessed! It really does make my makeup go on much smoother.
I haven’t started pulling out my fall stuff just yet but can’t wait to see if some of you are linking up some of your fave fall finds this month! Stop by Tanya’s linkup and see what you might need to add to cart today!
