Pretty in Pink

Do you have a signature color? There are definitely a few colors I know without a doubt will draw compliments when I wear them and pink is one of them.

I remember when I was young, my mom attended a party where a hostess led the group through a color analysis to determine whether they were a winter or summer; spring or autumn based with a warm or cool tone. A color palette was then provided to show the different shades of fabric which would bring out your best.

In a quick search I found this quick quiz which might give you a basic idea where you fit or use the colorwise tool to upload a picture for a quick analysis. As we move toward spring, identifying your color palette is one tool to help purge items in the closet which may not highlight our best.

This sweater I grabbed on sale at Loft over the holidays in both this pink and a sand color. I’ve worn multiple ways but decided to pair with black pants and leopard loafers for a day in the office and loved the combo but after seeing the outfit photographed just felt it was missing something.

Adding a leopard belt with a slight half tuck would do the trick. I tried this look with OTK boots and white jeans and really felt it was a more balanced look. Definitely will try the half tuck with these black pants next time.
