Old Navy Try On – Style Six
No need to even wait for Black Friday this year! The sales have all been going strong and, I mean, really does anyone buy anything full price anymore? Old Navy has had some really great sales and I decided my closet needed a few new sweaters to add to the mix. Here is what I found and how I’m styling them!
First up is this fun animal print sweater. I am crazy about the cognac color and black together and this look had me feeling very pulled together. This sweater is definitely a warmer one and would also look super cute layered with a chambray shirt.
Black jeans are definitely a must for my closet as I stretch the dress code at work expecially during these weird times of hibernating in my office. I love this pair of DL1961 which were a splurge several years ago even on sale but this pair would be a more affordable option.
I invested in a new pair of Frye boots during the Nordstrom anniversary sale and I highly recommend the brand if you are ever in the market for boots that stand the test of time. They are comfortable and classic and I plan to have them for years. My boots aren’t part of the Black Friday sale but you can find all the Frye options that are here. They would definitely make a great splurge Christmas gift.
I love a fair isle sweater and it’s been a couple of years since I’ve had one. They are really fun to pair with a cute gingham or chambray button down for those chillier days. I love how this one blends so well with my olive jeans! Of course I paired with another pair of Frye boots that have been in my closet for 5 years and they still look amazing and have broken in perfectly.
Burgundy is always a color I can had without hesistation in Aggieland as I know it will get plenty of wear. This one is a heavier weight for colder days. I love how well burgundy works with olive and added my fave animal print booties for a little pop. Mine are sold out but this pair is the same brand and pattern in a slightly different style currently on sale.
Next up is a staple red cardigan. Having a cardigan in a fun pop of color can create an easy win on those days when you don’t have a lot of brain power for creating a look. Start with a solid base; black on black, white on white or even denim on denim and then just add a fun cardigan to pull it together. I did add a belt just to define the look and of course here are the animal print booties again!
This look is definitely what I may be wearing for Christmas if the weather permits! I love a great plaid and topping with this cardigan was just a bonus. Oversized sweaters don’t always work for me with my faux leather leggings because they sometimes hang up on my poofy booty. Give me some layers though and this look is a win!
In case you couldn’t envision the denim on denim base, here is the look! Denim in two slightly different shades works to create a great base for an outfit. I think I would add an animal print belt to pull it all together.
So this sweater dress is not from Old Navy but I had to toss it in. It is under $25 and so good! I have been wanting a sweater dress and when I found this one I knew it would be the versatile piece I was looking for. It is thick enough to hide some flaws but not overly warm so it will be easy for layering.
My booties are years old and they are good ones! I highly recommend picking a bootie in a fun color to add to your closet for an extra punch to basic looks.
Always one of my favorite hacks to stretch an outfit. It’s super easy to grab a sweater and layer it over a dress to create a different look. I love how this one came together.
Y’all, I want to wear this look every single day! I don’t know why this makes me so happy but it sure does. Casual and comfortable but still pulled together. Is that a style becuase I’m here for it!
Whew! That was a lot but I hope you found some new pieces or at least some looks you can create from your own closet for the holidays or everyday.
Now it’s your turn to link up! The Style Six sisters wish you all a super sweet Thanksgiving weekend.
