NSale Wishlist – Style Six
Instead of showing you a new look this week, I’m showing off a few things from the Nsale wishlist I’ve pulled together. You can share your favorite looks, Nsale or not, and see what my other Style Six sisters are sharing too!
Love it or hate it, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale creates a flurry every year. Last year I was somewhat disappointed in the way access was handled and by the time it was “my turn” to shop so many of the items I was interested in were sold out. This year I’m trying to be optimistic but with the levels of access set up the way they are I’m probably setting myself up for frustration!
All that being said, I have certain items I love to try and grab as part of the sale. There are several tried and true pieces I grab almost every year but it’s also my very favorite time to stock up on fall shoes. My girls both have fall birthdays so having them pick a few things also gives me a break on a nice item they really want to receive.
So this year my strategy has been to build a wish list by category (shoes, athleisure, lingerie, jeans, etc) with all the items I’m interested in. Carly, Jordan, and hopefully Taylor, will also have their own! On my access day I will be able to quickly hop into the wish list and add to cart as the sizes, etc will already be chosen.
Boots and booties have always been a win for me during the sale. The discounts are worth it to splurge on buying for fall even when it’s still 100 degrees outside! I almost always try to grab athletic shoes for myself but also the kids for begining school. Every single year, however, I usually find one killer pair of shoes in a flat or dress style that end up being one of my most commented on and most worn pieces. Here are some of my fave picks for the 2020 NSAle!
Athleisure is another area that has always been a win. I love Zella brand leggings and pretty much add to my collection during the Nsale each year. This year I really want to try the jogger trend and also need to grab a couple of quality sports bras.
If you love designer jeans but not designer jean prices, this Nsale is the place to find denim at reduced price. I had not purchased high end denim in years until I started shopping the sale. I have had this pair of bootcut jeans that are so great for work or dressing up for a date night in my closet for years and they still look brand new. Here are a few I’m considering trying as well as a cute pair of non-designer cropped flares.
Beauty items were not ever something I thought of buying at Nordstrom but have found during the sale there can be some really great deals even on things I normally use. One item I have really been wanting to try are these Laura Mercier eye sticks so they are definitely on my wish list.
Sweaters are really hard for me to get into when it is this hot, but here are a few I added to my list. You can never go wrong with grabbing any of the Barefoot Dreams cardigans to use for gifts! And this Halogen sweater in blue has been on repeat in my winter wardrobe for at least 3 years.
I’m sure you’ve seen enough to know, despite my irritation with last year, I will still be shopping the sale! Are you adding any items to your wish list?
